Anyone starting and or managing a huddle league let me know so I can pin the thread.

Anyone interested in joining leagues can then quickly choose available options.

As of now, 3 leagues, each a little different but filling in quickly

I have 4 spots left in my league its a mix of crazy people  and somewhat normal people that play each week no matter how bad they suck,,,

What's it like playing somewhat normal people?  :)

If someone wants to commish another huddle league let me know.  Should have enough to fill out another 12-14 team league but I'm maxed out at 3 leagues myself right now.

I'll start a league if there are still others looking for one to join. I've been looking for a huddle league to join for the last couple of years with no luck. Do you have a feel for the types of leagues preferred by huddlers? PPR, IDP, etc?

It's all over the board.  A PPR league would be cool imo as we don't really have one yet.  I would definitely sign up for a PPR if it had trouble filling out.  But I've gotten several PM's about joining and there is always a rush at the end of the preseason.

If you go for it just start a thread with the link so potential owners can check out the particulars.  I'll sticky it so it stays up top.  Then keep updating the OP to show who has joined.

Thanks for the info, I started a PPR league on NFL.com, but can't start a thread due to the required number of posts. Can you please make a thread announcing that there is now a PPR league for anybody interested, and to PM me if interested and i will either respond to them with the league ID and password or send them an invite. Thanks for all your help.

I was going to run 2 leagues at work, but lot of the guys in a particular department have been replaced by women, not that I'm complaining. It's a Yahoo league with some tweaks. Added a flex spot (can be either WR, RB, or TE) so there's 10 starting spots and 6 bench spots. This also balances out the snake draft.

QB's INTs are -2, if it's a pick six, then -3 instead. Passing for 300+ yards gets +1

WRs, RBs, and TEs get +1 when they go over 100 yards in a game

For Ks, FGs 50 yards+ are 4 points, but missing an extra point is -1

D/ST get 1 point for a tackle for loss and 2 points for a 4th-down stop

Big plays are worth more. 40+yard runs or catches get +1, and if it's a TD then +2 instead.

Passes over 40 yards don't get a bonus unless it's a TD, then +1

Nothing CRAZY, but enough to spice up the matchups. I like competitive leagues, and this setup helps test the managerial skills of the 11 poor bastards dumb enough guys with the guts to join.

Since it's a first-year Huddle league and last minute, I'll make it a free league. We draft on Wednesday at 6pm. Anybody got the cajones? PM me for an invite.

    • There are several posters that only post negative at all times.   8 wins is a big jump from 5 and we still have 2 games.  Jaguars have a much more talented roster than us and have underachieved for years.
    • All of this noise is just setting us up to lose Week 18 and proclaim life's not fair. If there's one thing I know in my 30+ years of watching the Hornets and Panthers, is that the bad guy always wins in the end. A team can be falling apart internally but we will still lose to them. A team's fanbase can be extra shitty and cocky and they will just win anyway. It always happens
    • Well even if we took diverging paths getting there...our overall assessment of Shough is the same (bolded) lol so I guess that's what matters.  What you call "playing at a level that looks like a veteran starter" is the same thing I'm referencing when I talk about his poise.  Although I still wonder how truly "bad" of a team the Saints are.  Their defense is middle-of-the-road, and their offense does have some good pieces (Olave, Juwan Johnson) outside of running back which is the position most everyone agrees is relatively plug-and-play.  I'm not going to pretend to know anything about the majority of NFL team's o-lines lol but I'm assuming Saints are not great there, although Shough's pressure % seems to have been quite low (and steadily improving) over the last four weeks (20 -> 16.7 -> 15.0 -> 13.0) so maybe they've been playing better as of late, or perhaps Shough himself deserves credit for that.   Some of the language I'm hearing about Shough, including talking about how he's way above league average in several categories, makes it sound like Shough is having a rookie season on par with like a CJ Stroud who established himself as basically a Top 5-10 QB his rookie season.  Maybe that's on me though, I don't mean to attribute anything to you that I'm sure you don't agree with.
