He looked great. Didnt make many plays but held his ground against double teams. First team O from the bears couldnt run on us to save their lives. # he stuffin it

I expect Short to make more 'splash' plays this year with Star doing most of the quiet, dirty work.

If Star struggles, think back to Luke's first few games.. If Luke, struggled in his first few games, think back to Cam's performances in his rookie preseason games.

I don't see what Luke struggling has anything to do with Star.  They are two completely different positions.  The LB position is way more mental than the DT position and takes much longer to adjust too.

Star wasn't struggling one bit last night. He manhandled 2 players and damn near had a sack on Cutler that same play. He held up the O-line, and was right there with Kuechly in stuffing the FIRST TEAM RB. I think all our rookies did damn well last night.

Star was good, I was surprised with how well short played last night. Seemed like he pushed the pocket every play he was in and held up in the run game too

My point being, if Star struggles at first dont go in panic mode. Remember how bad and lost Luke looked the first few games of last season only to turn it around and win DROY. Just sayin.

So, what are you sayin'? That Star is going to struggle, and we need to worry, but not panic? I can do one, but I don't think I can do both.

I think he's saying don't worry because Luke struggled but his play turned out great.

I'm excited to have a dominant front again on the Panthers. Maybe they will be reminiscent of Pep, Ruck, Jenk and Buck!
