TBH, I don't think having a Solo spin off is a good idea. Why? because it is literally begging for fanboys to hate it, and the newer generation doesn't have a connection to him. Ford is Solo, and it should just end at that. 

 

A new character however, with his own spin off is fine. Fanboys don't give a poo because it can't ruin the original three, and the younger generation could view it as their own Hans Solo....or whatever archetype they wish to portray.
