MNF: Colts @ Bolts

Boltergeist

Recommended Posts

In ex-Panther news, looks like Thomas Keiser may be getting the start for San Diego since Jarret Johnson is inactive tonight. Also, Manti Te'o will be making D calls with Donald Butler inactive as well.

Inactives:

IND: L. Landry, D. Herron, K. Conner. K. Holmes, X. Nixon, B. Werner, M. Hughes

SD: J. Johnson, D. Butler, C. Rinehart, B. Taylor, M. Remmers, L. Guy, B. Sorenson

No offense to Boltergeist but I don't think there is a team in the NFL that bores me more than San Diego. Whenever they are on, it just doesn't hold my attention, especially if it's a home game for whatever reason.

I'm sure it's just because everything about them is foreign and distant, but I just cannot tune into their games for very long before I get bored. AFC West games in general tend to be very uninteresting to me.

Another note, lol at all the folks who didn't want Allen because of his 40 time. You guys should just go ahead and stop arguing with me about wideouts. If there's any spot on the field I know my stuff about, it's there. Grew up loving the position, obsessed with it. If I say a guy is gonna be good, he's gonna be good.

So far, Philip Rivers looks better than Luck. But he should have gotten that 2nd TD not a fieldgoal.

Also, everytime I've caught a Colts game I see Luck chucking the ball to his Receivers. He does very little strong throws or even throwing down field.  Do any of you feel his style of dink and dunk plays would work for a team like the Panthers?

    • I watched a clip of all the offensive snaps. Young threw into some tight coverage and the guys made some plays on the ball. He also really missed some throws.  He has this middle of the field thing into a tight window pretty good and made three or four nice plays but he was just too inconsistent with his accuracy especially in the red zone. Today and in general.    That Int where people were chastising Legette for ‘not fighting through the coverage’, he in no way could have gotten to that ball. IMO. I think he thought it was going to hit the ground and didn’t see the defender coming for it. But not sure what he could have done. The camera doesn’t show the spatial relationship very well, I think the ball was way off. maybe 6 feet or more off target to the inside of the field.  Rico is a beast. And a very good receiver.   That was my impression without dissecting and rewinding, just letting the video roll. I did rewind the int two or three times to look at that one.
    • My biggest issue with keeping Darnold, which I felt we should have done, is we would still have Fitterer. And everything that came with that.  I think Morgan is going to be good.  Baker, just did not play well at all here. Not sure what else we were supposed to take away from it at the time.  That’s my short ‘I don’t want to argue about it’ take.
    • Even if we somehow make the playoffs we will be one and done so fast. Seattle, Rams, TB, Panthers, Detroit and Philly are all better than us.
