Andrew Luck can't afford to fail.

Did I ever say that he wasn't?

Look, I hate Luck and I think that he's not really that great and by all accounts he's having the very definition of a "game manager" type year. He's posting below Alex Smith type numbers.

But the idea that he's not athletic, let alone a "lead foot" is fuging moronic and anyone who argues from that perspective is a damned fool.

I was making a point. Not accusing you of saying anything.

Plus, I personally don't hate Luck. I simply don't like being forced feed false hype. I much prefer all the QBs to be judged by the same measuring stick and let time determine their true greatness.

Dan Marino is consider great but he never won a SB.

Maybe it's all in your mind. By the way, Luck have difficulty dropping the ball between the DB and Safety, that's why he got intercepted. I can tell you adore Luck just by reading your words. You mentioned nothing related to football.

Woah woah relax daddyeo... I do adore Luck but I'm not side taking in this obvious subliminal racial seperation... Id take Cam over Luck if I'm starting a franchise for a few reasons. 1, Cams mobile, while safe when running. 2. Cams younger than most of the "young QBs" in the NFL. 3. If we could utilize Cams abilities every week, we have ourselves the most dynamic QB in the history of the game. Cams been making huge strides lately, week to week, and they're huge strides.

Reason I dislike Robert Griffin compared to Luck: Griffin is system based and what we're seeing is that he was reliant on his mobility and while it may be back, the whole world knows that hes limited in the way he runs and if he were to take more bad hits, career over. He doesn't look super accurate and he fumbles too much. If he has the accuracy to stay in the pocket, I like him a lot more than I like him mobile.

Reason I dislike Kaepernick compared to Luck: Outside of Philip Rivers, Kaep may have the worst release in the nfl. He has an absolute cannon of an arm and is lightning quick, but, hes been the biggest game manager of all the young qbs. The defense, that offensive line, and running game are the real stars and he has a fraction of the weight on his shoulders compared to all of these guys except for maybe wilson. Too many question marks, still.

Reason I dislike Wilson compared to Luck: Wilson is my favorite young QB not named Newton or Luck because you can tell he's a real student of the game. He's not super flashy or outpowering, but he has great pocket presense, good mobility and an accurate arm. If he were put into a worse situation, would things be different, yeah, but on a game to game basis I see him make throws that Kaep hasnt.

Reason I like Luck: Hes almost the exact median of a mobile and pocket QB. He takes command of the game and team and outside of yesterdays egg, hes been clutch and just overall fundamentally sound.

Dont jump on my ass because im a fan of the Luck, I wouldn't take him over Cam but id certainly take him over the rest of those young guys.

Wow. Still at it Kk? You are either very lonely or very dumb. Very very dumb

Since Luck is so great how can one not stay on top of his greatness. Maybe his greatness can rub off on me.

Nothing wrong with having your opinion but the way the 'media' makes looks like he is 100 notch better than every other young QB is rather suspicious and worth questioning. Because we're all watching the same goddamn game.

I dunno what media you're watching but where I'm from they're on the nuts of Bob Griffin & Colin Kaep still. Cam could do no right, that'll always be the case, hell, even maybe so when he wins the superbowl... just gotta ignore the media altogether.

Nah, your center of gravity is too high and you are much sleeker.  You would have to lower yourself and slow down to even chance a rubbing off.  Keep your sleekness and stay above guys like him.

Trust me, I feel comfortable doing that.

I don't quite get this forum's obsession with every young black QB in the NFL. Don't worry folks, there is more where that came from. Soon enough it's get hard to keep up with all of them. Luck can be compared with so many all at ounce. Can't wait when Bridgewater start putting up video game numbers with his filthy accuracy.

Let me start this up early:

Who had a better rookie season, Luck or Bridgewater?

Ans. I think Luck, because he sees the whole field.

Who would you pick to start your franchise with, Luck or Bridgewater?

Ans. Luck, because all he does is win.

Who is the best young QB in the league right now, Luck or Bridgewater?

Ans. Luck, because Bridgewater is a one read guy.

Why is Luck so much greater than Bridgewater?

Ans. Luck, because he is gonna be great.

Why the hell ask the question when you already decided your answer in advance?

Ans. Luck, because he is cerebral and he's gonna be great, the colts are lucky to have him.

Don't you think it's kind of pathetic and people do notice what we're doing?

Ans. Luck, is gonna be great...oh sorry, can you repeat the question.

Great subliminal strategy. Say Luck + great as often as possible. But it failed with The Golden Calf of Bristol and it certainly will fail with Luck too.

I'm still trying to figure out what qualifies Luck out of a all these other QBs, to be seen as not only the "chosen QB" but the best "ever."

It clearly cannot be because he's white but it does seem to help because none of the black QBs are seen as "chosen." They may be talked about but they are not set apart.  It can't be because he goes to an Ivy League school because Standford isn't an Ivy League college. It's as elite as Notre Dame, Clausen and Culter's Alum but they aren't "chosen QBs." It can't be his QB mechanics because all I keep hearing from those who paint him as the God of QBs in the media, is how much the Colts need to help him. Something you don't hear much when it comes to QBs like Cam. It can't be his intellect because RG III has a much higher GPA than him and graduated from college with a degree in Political Science in three years. It can't be his college football skills because two years in a row other QBs, Cam and RG, were chosen over him for Heismans and other prestigious awards.

So what makes Luck so special that he's the media's "chosen qb?" He sits in the pocket. There are a lot of QBs who come out of college football trained pocket passers.

I liked Luck in college - he came from my alma maters conference. And was there when I was in school. He appeared to be a QB beyond his years there. However he had great coaches there behind him. I definitely wanted to see him finding success in the NFL as I wish all players coming from the Pac12 (except for USC QB's). But, the NFL and media have sensationalized him to where it's nearly sickening. I cannot imagine what it would have been like if he was alone in that draft and RG3 wasn't there to take some of the spotlight away.

I think given the high expectations and the comparisons to Manning - make it a bad situation for him to sink or swim. And it certainly doesnt help his cause with the statements made by Jim Irsay. Ir-say-WHAT?

The only person looking obsessed is you, with Luck.

You should get some help for that inferiority complex.

Do you know how awesome it is to follow the failure of an over-hyped, talentless, need to be protected, dink & dunk QB on live TV? Too bad I didn't get to follow linart, quinn, sanchez, schaub, alex smith, to name a few, but I will not miss this opportunity. It's only a matter of time before they start asking him to put the ball up against non-prevent defense during a game. Come out, come out Luck, wherever you're. Show us that arm talent everyone's talking about. Nobody wants to know how smart you're as this is not NASA. This where men hit men.
