Washington vs Denver

lightsout

Recommended Posts

Denver just tied it up at the start of the 4th at 21. Really, Washington has been lucky to be in this game. An interception by Manning is really the difference at this point. Morris has been running his ass off to keep Washington in this game. RGIII is 11/19 for 91 yards and 1 TD. He hasn't ran for poo either. Basically, he continues to just play bad. As I type this, he threw behind a wide open Josh Morgan on a post.

Anybody else watching this game? Regardless of how bad RGIII has been, it still has been an entertaining game.

Just ugly this possession. He really does look lost. I mean, sure, he's facing a fair amount of pressure, but he isn't even looking for a space to run to. He's just aimlessly running around 20 yards behind the line of scrimmage. And now a big sack near his own goal line.

Really, Denver is executing the gameplan to stop RGIII: get in his face early and often. Get hits on him. Make him panic. And holy poo is it working.

Yeah, I been watching this game. At first I was thinking "RG3 must be the luckiest guy alive" during the first half. He threw so many bad passes that he escaped INT's from (or were actually caught). Then the lucky bounces and the penalties  they received/benefited from, etc., (along with the Manning INT). However, now things have seemingly corrected themselves [during the second half] as Denver is up 38-21, and RG3 keeps coughing up the ball when he's sacked.

Now RG3 is getting his garbage yards, padding his stats.

He was less than 100 yds to start the current series. And now after two completions (of the dinky variety of course), he's at about 120+/.

We know, he and Shanahan won't stand for that, now!! Lol

Hopefully, he'll throw another INT and/or fumble again!!

Manning gets intercepted. Now let's see if the "hurt RG3" will come back to play to pad his stats some more??????

He wanted to, but they told him no!! And he's lobbying Shanahan on the sidelines.

WTF is up with this dude??? He sucked today, besides being hurt. But I guess he doesn't realize that. Lol

I have reserved judgment on Griffin for a long time, but I have to believe Redskins fans are starting to get pretty nervous. Griffin has shown time and again that he has a lot of trouble reading defenses. There were several situations (not just the interceptions) where he had receievers open downfield and he just missed them, either with bad throws or just not making the correct throw. He has proven to be nothing more than a checkdown/screenpass quarterback who is capable of making big runs on occasion.

I'm not saying the kid can't be a good quarterback, but I think he has the longest way to go of any young QB in the game right now.

    • On the surface all variables to be considered aside obviously I would love to have him. Situationally though this compares to when we acquired Stephon Gilmore. Ramsey will be 31 this fall and Gilmore was 31 when we acquired him. Ultimately it was a moot point because we weren't ready to compete for anything of note and Gilmore went elsewhere. Ultimately I see this playing out the same. As such I cannot envision any scenario where he does not go to a legit playoff contender.
    • Below average? Seriously?? That is wild AF My man we ain't watching the same game... And I'm hard-pressed to believe you're watching the same film coaches are either if that is the take you honestly believe... I've been to almost every home game at BOA over the past 20 years... I've seen a lot of bad QB play over the past 7 years. Anybody that wasn't truly impressed by what Bryce did what the cast-offs he had to work with at the end of last year is delusional. His top 3 weapons were a 34 undrafted guy, a 7th round journeyman, and an UDFA rookie... seriously, what are we doing here??!! Some of these takes are beyond outlandish... You admitted yourself you're comparing Bryce to a guy you didn't even watch but are cherry picking stats for... So go back to your eyeballs and make it simple... how much NFL football have you watched my man?? Bc to me and my eyeball test, Bryce blew it out of the effing water down the stretch. What QBs are you watching playing so much better than him that you feel confident in saying "below average?" If you watched that and came away with anything else, we ain't watching the same thing... But beyond the eyeball test, every advanced metric in the book backs it up also... so again, what are you seeing that no one else is?? You think just anybody is going out there and dueling with Mahomes & Hurts with an almost comical inferior supporting cast and doing that? Whatever, to each their own, but it is wild to pull for a team where so many people feel compelled to crap on your QB after he just pulled maybe the greatest in-season turn around in league history and was playing by any eyeball test (for anyone that has watched an appreciable amount of NFL football) or even the advanced metrics for that matter.
    • You don't talk about TMac's QB that way!
