Remember The Trash Cans?

In preseason and in the games leading up to the Arizona game, I noticed Cam was throwing a lot of "touch" passes. It seemed to bother his mechanics by throwing off his back foot and he short armed more than a few passes to open receivers. During the AZ game he started putting more zip on the ball, which could explain the amount of drops in not only that game but in the next couple games as well.

In the 6 games following the AZ game Cam has thrown 10 TD passes yet only 3 picks. A vast improvement over the first 4 games, 6 TD passes and 5 picks.

I used to watch Jake at training camp put ball after ball in those trash cans, which I'm sure took time to master. For now though, keep those trash cans away from Cam and let him fire away.... KEEP POUNDING!!!!

    • Damn back to 10th. I only caught the last 5 minutes but some of those 3's were horrible lol. In that close of game you can't be launching those many hail mary's when you could be chipping away from the foul line. I guess no one wanted to get in the paint and didn't trust the refs to give them the calls maybe? Gonna watch the highlights to get a better idea of the flow of the game
    • I agree.  The Big 12 is a good conference, and he is the swinging dick in that conference.  If Bill Self retires, that sets Kansas back a bit, and Arizona moves even further ahead as the best team in that conference.  Arizona can crush west coast recruiting with USC / UCLA no longer being relevant for LA kids, and Gonzaga not being able to compete moneywise.   If Lloyd comes here, he will be second fiddle to Duke every single year in NIL and recruits.  Not to mention the entire SEC and Big East for kids who want to stay in those regions to play. This is why I keep saying go get Mark Few.  Has proven he can do more with less from an X / O perspective but can also recruit All American players and compete at a high level. He's a god at Gonzaga, but for $9M he'd make the move as that's 4x what he's making at Gonzaga, and makes him the highest paid coach in the country.
    • Certainly not going to miss his constant whiffs on sacks and tackles.
