He's the Panthers' weakest link and without Steve Smith he'd be Blaine Gabbert with legs."  LOL, they are so scared that they are trying to convince themselves that Cam is equal to Blaine Gabbert.  OK Saints fans.  whatever you say.  Your awakening is coming Sunday night, just how good Cam and the Carolina Panthers are.  Can't wait.

Sure, in a perfect world I want a bye and homefield but we are a very solid road team and frankly, im licking my chops at the thought of facing Romo and the Cowboys in the playoffs. Can there be a better matchup with us than the Cowboys?!

 

They're just flukey enough to beat us. Romo is going to win another playoff game at some point... don't want our debut to come on the road in the playoffs.

We will win Sunday. But know this. Our coaches will have tonight's game tape to work with. They probably have it already. So does Payton & crew. They know Seattle is the #2 defense because the Panthers' defense is #1 and the two are very similar. They will be prepared, they will test us. A lot depends on the health of their o-line.

 

It is important because it is our next game. But I wouldn't be surprised if most of our players show up at BoA tomorrow, day off be damned.

I'm not worried about the Saints for a few reasons.

1. This feels like it did a decade ago.

2. The Saints have couple of significant injuries. ( o line and cb)

3. Our back field is rested.

4. We are the better team.

We have a knack for winning in New Orleans.  

 

I used to be a big fan of Brees but his prima donna status drives me crazy.  They (REFS) protect him like they do Brady. 

 

Bring the heat... force him to make mistakes and crush him every time we get a chance.

 

New Orleans is a dink and dunk just like New England.  Keep them in front of you put them in third and long and keep them to FGs and we'll win.

if we absolutely dismantled the saints and helped them on their way to a late-season plunge it would be the best day of my life.

Need a 2008 game.

Bucs and Panthers were both 9-3 and playing for the division lead on MNF.

We proceeded to curb stomp them and they did not win another game that season.

With the Saints at home coming off a tough loss where they only scored 7 points, their pride will be on the line.  Meanwhile they will absolutely test our secondary early and often.  Face it, we don't have a CB who covers like Sherman.  We are going to have to score an ass-load of points to win this game in NO.

 

I love the fact that this game is so meaningful in the division and I don't doubt that we can win under the right circumstances, but I hesitate to put so much emphasis on winning this game.  If we have to hang with them TD for TD, then I think we still have a chance.  Our offense is efficient and converts a lot of third downs.

 

Hopefully, this game will be similar to the NE game where we limited them to 6 possessions. Holding Tom Brady to 20 points was a feat that I think was largely overlooked in the aftermath of the PI "non-call."  If we can do something similar to NO we will have an excellent shot.  

 

I don't think this game is the be-all end-all some people are making it out to be.  We still have to play them again in Charlotte.  It is much harder for the Saints to "run track" on teams outside of the Superdome.  If we are able to win, then that is fantastic.  If not, that won't put too much of a damper on our season in the short term.

 

Of course, winning the division, hosting a playoff game, and getting a bye all sounds sweet, but honestly...we have been much better in the playoffs when we have had to go on the road and play in the wildcard round.  Looks like we'd get either Detroit or Dallas at this point, so isn't that just like us to draw Dallas in the first round and thrash them?  A first round bye is overrated IMO.  I'm trying not to treat this game like anything more than what it is which is that proverbial "next game" that you hear the players parroting in every interview.  

 

I hope they don't listen to the hype.  And you shouldn't either.

Honestly, it's gonna be a shootout. Brees and The Taints will be looking to redeem themselves after that embarrassing loss.

Got to love how u folks expect so much from Cam and so little from the rest of the team. Funny that u said Drew Brees and the "taint" but only mention Cam , which proves once again that many of u demand more out of Cam than the entire Panthers team as a whole. Cam is not the problem. U should be hoping those around Cam show up and don't disappoint, They are the ones who need to step up more consistently. What more do u want from a QB who has shown that he is willing to do as much as he can to help his team.
