Los Angeles Times Article - Steve Smith

While the article may be great and some may or may not have learned something new about Steve, I think the most important thing that I took away from this was that Winning cures all.

For a west coast large market newspaper to publish a story about an aging star on the other side of the country says a lot of the brand that the Panthers are building, all of which starts with winning.

Let me start by saying, the wife loves Taco Bell, me, I ate enough dirt when I was a kid.

As someone who has seen Steve's Panther career in it's entirety, there was nothing new in this article. But the fact that a L.A. writer would even write it says a lot about Steve. Local boy makes good, just doesn't cover it. Makes me wonder if there is a connection between the two. Writer-Player. Have they crossed paths, same school, something?

He is the epitome of Split Personality. On the field, he is a beast. Do not, I repeat, do not take him for granted. He will eat your young. Off the field, he will help you care for your young.

The guy deserves a shot at the Hall. No doubt. He has everything except the rings. Those, thanks to Cam, should be coming.

In conclusion. There have been short WRs before Smitty. Just nothing like Smitty. He just has a way of doing things that are not in the book. Hellz, Smitty rewrote the fugging book. And that is why I love him.

It sounded better in my head.

GOOOOO CATS and SMITTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
