My playoff predictions

The outcome of tonight's crazy game had huge playoff implications. Now that the Lions have choked once again, mark my words, the Packers will sneak into the NFCN division winner spot. This means the most likely scenario for the wild card teams are a road trip to Philly or Green Bay. This makes Sunday's show down with the Saints even bigger. I guess our chances in Philly aren't too bad, but I definitely wouldn't want to take on Rodgers in Lambo mid January.

However, if we win this game the wild card teams would be New Orleans and San Fran. They would have to go on the road and win a tough match up, and then come into Carolina. SF/NO could get upset on the road which would be the best case scenario. But even if they get it done, we still would get one of them in a home game. And who knows, one of them could get by the first round and then upset Seattle at home giving us home field throughout.

This is the first time in a long time the NFC is hands down stronger than the AFC. Sunday against the Saints is the biggest game for us in the last 5 years. A win drastically increases our Super Bowl chances. Buckle up boys! It's gonna be a wild one!

I guarantee the Cowboys win that division and make the playoffs. Philly will lose to Chicago and then the finale to dallas and finish 8-8, dallas will get in.

Also I think if we went to Lambeau it would be a fun game for us. Green Bay isn't all that scary...cam in the cold.... would make for good building of the legend.

We win sunday it's all moot.

Im glad you made this thread because I have a question for anyone who knows. Say we win the NFCs with a 1st round bye, we win the first playoff game and somehow the Seahawks lose in the playoffs, would the team that beat the Seahawks have to come to Charlotte to play us? In other words, with us getting a first round bye and Seattle losing their playoff game say for example to the 49ers, would the 49ers have to come to Charlotte?

Yes the higher seed gets the home game. So if San Fran or NO was to go in and win they would have to come to us. If Seattle wins then we would have to go there assuming we win.

I want San Fran to win the WC card round, go into Seattle and beat them and San Fran come to us for the NFC championship game, I know we would win! Just the thought we have a chance of hosting a NFC championship game is amazing.

    • I'm probably one of those posters, but I make those posts because there are too many things going on that don't make sense. For instance, how does a RB that does something that hasn't been done in 14 years immediately get reverted back to 2nd string, and it takes a leadership council to make him the starter when he's averaging 3x the YPC? Your average fan shouldn't be screaming that for 2 weeks before the coach sees it. And that's one of many.  What you're seeing is frustration that we could be better, that we should be better, if our owner, FO, and coaches could do things that are so painfully obvious to even the most basic fan
    • Cowboys. Patriots. Couldn't ask for two bigger villains.
    • I think we're all struggling with what things are right now and what they have been. It's like getting ready to have bandages removed after a long period of injury. The healing, the new growth, they aren't going to be pretty, there's going to be some ongoing issues for a while at best and there's every chance that we're going to have to go back into the bandage situation all over again. And that sucks. But it's also a place where maybe, just maybe, the recovery is going to finally start happening. The bad days will be getting behind us.  It's not going to happen this year, but I believe from what I see that this year is showing that improvement. We focus on the QB because that's what all the pundits focus on, because it's the flashiest and most heralded position on the field. No one wants to put out a tweet about how a center is holding down their job and anchoring a line. They rarely celebrate that blocking tight end or special teams gunner. That fourth CB on the depth chart? Not a mention. And yet, those guys are the kind that we've been building here, we're building the lunch pail guys AND finding some future stars.  Is Bryce one of them? Might be a cornerstone of the team in the future as the second QB, might somehow just show out to end the season. Might flame out like many expect. But if that uncertainty is all we concentrate on, we're just going to miserably look at this team and maybe miss out on some solid green shoots that are finally beginning to poke through into the sunlight.
