Maybe some encouraging stats for you guys.

 

Drew Brees on the road the last four years: 61 td, 36 ints.  

Record against teams on the road with winning records: 6-11

Drew Brees stats against winning teams on the road last four years: 33 td, 21 int

 

Case in point, when he doesn't play shitty teams, he is pretty darned mediocre on the road, and coming into Carolina should make it tough enough for him and his mediocre team to get a win.

I hate such thread, just like pointing out how many FG a kicker has made before an attempt and then he just misses it RIGHT in front of you.

I have been an appreciative reader of these forums for quite some time now; however, I would like to offer my two cents. I do not know if this game is going to be decided on the location of where it is played. Given the Saints are pretty darn good in the dome; however, I believe the Panthers forfeited that game when the d-line could not generate pressure and convert on red zone trips. I believe the second divisional game is more of a match-up issue. The obvious Saints vertical game is going to give our secondary major problems regardless of where the game is played. In my time watching the Panthers, to be honest I never knew whether this team is a better home team or road warrior (i.e. 2008 divisional round). It is simple any red zone trips must result in TDs and our defensive line needs to collapse the pocket. Our first match up was more than just playing in the dreaded dome, I believe it made the apparent flaws in our defense more visible since the Saints are the best passing offense we will play in the NFC. Now don't get me wrong I believe playing in BOA stadium will result in more converted red zone attempts, but I do not want to see a shoot out with the Saints. I want to see more first quarters of the last game, but with a touchdown here and there. Quarters like that where we dominate time of possession with a three-headed running game will prove advantageous. Don't let the Saints get ahead and keep everything thing in front of us preferably with some physicality and man/press coverage, then I will like our chances. I do not know about this rush four while dropping everyone back in zone coverage and waiting for Brees to pick us apart. If it comes down to it send Munnerlyn off the edge every play, I like how he dials up the pressure and he is not really a commodity in coverage.

At the Rams game, when Brees drove to redzone on second drive, they put up the stat of how he leads the NFL with number of redzone possessions without an interception, something like 147 trips w/o an interception, then the very next play he throws an interception trying to force ball to Graham in triple coverage! It was almost funny!

Ahhh...so it was the announcers fault that they jinxed him.  That is why the Saints lost.  Got it.

Saints are no joke when you give Brees time in the pocket...................I don't like the idea of him having time and picking our secondary apart.

 

If we don't get after Brees its going to be rough to pull this out...............that said, Brees is like Brady.........pressure some big hits a sack or two and he's a different player back there..............

 

We lost the game in the dome because we didn't play as physical as they did...................

 

Remember how physical the Seahawks were when they walloped them a few weeks back?
