Cam presser (Wears a superman t-shirt)

Well, it's true.  Just because he sounds the same to you doesn't mean everyone else is wrong.  This is the first presser I have watched since last year, and he shows tact, wit, and professionalism; in a word, maturing. Maybe it's overall comfort with the interview process, but it most definitely comes across as "mature."

What makes it's truthful? It's your perception...not so much the truth. Cam has had that same image since 2011. He still stutters occasionally and his Southern drawl has a tendency to show up every now and then.

Yep, the same kid he was when he first was introduced as a Panthers. As a matter of fact, he looks quite Ppeturbed in that video.

Some people make way too much of the "Superman". He's just having fun with it. It's not like he has mural on his ceiling so he can stare at himself while he fugs.

And I'm not being critical of anyone in this thread but I cringe every time the media is critical of his shoes, clothes, or celebrations.

You are so not lying.

The obsessive behavior towards this kid has gotten borderline psychotic. It's to the point where folks intentional look for ways to spin whatever Cam says and does into something negative as if criticizing "everything Cam" helps them fit into some junior high school "click"

I seriously need to re-examine what MATURITY means because if Cam is immature and how these folks are behaving towards him is mature, then I need to join the immature group.

Considering it's before an actual game; there's no major controversy (and the team is winning), that would only make sense.

You do realize, Tom Brady, with all his experience and winning had a recent tantrum after a tough loss by the way?

I think what the previous poster was trying to elucidate was: Cam has always been complimentary of his teammates, humble, and gracious during interviews and pressers, regardless of how bad the loss (that's maturity; just go ask Robert Griffin)....A few tough losses, and his disdain for losing aside (the suggestion box, etc.), doesn't take away from that.

I would agree, that Cam is pretty much the same as far as what he says. And he does appear more comfortable. But I think the overall media hysteria of his press conferences last year, were grossly overblown to begin with (like so many other things pertaining to Cam and the media).

I don't think he's matured as much with his pressers, as avoiding certain media hot buttons, which would draw their tabloid-like attention.

Keep in mind, he will still have moments, where he doesn't appear to happy to talk to the media after a game (win or lose).

If Cam is/was immature; then I would sure like to know how we classify Tom Brady; Aaron Rodgers; Ben Rothesberg; Jay Cutler; Dez Bryant; Robert Griffin; Colin Kaepernick, Steve Smith (yes, I said it), and so many others?

Football's an emotional game, and everyone has their own personalities.

You can't classify one group of players as winners, then classify another as spoiled and immature, because we subconsciously like one, but not the other. It's a double standard.

The irony is; the stuff Cam say and does, is minuscule compared to what so many other players say and do; such it shouldn't even receive any mention or attention. But I guess Cam, sucks in eyeballs???

As a matter of fact, just a week or two ago, after a team lost, Mr. Bray used a swear word at the end of his presser. You heard NOTHING about it because QBs like Tom are working so hard to help their team win that getting frustated is OKAY!.

Plus, I guess they were to busy making a big deal over Dez Bryant walking to the locker-room after Romo's Int to end the game, to make much out of another Brady temper tantrum. SMH

I think the media's focus is overblown as well. Hell, I get tired of hearing them talk about it BECAUSE that's all they focus on. It's weird how some posters here read the same kind of animus in my post as they would the typical ESPN media hack all the while saying that same media hack is reading too much into Cam's towels and pressers . . . Ironic is all.

I understand.

It's almost like you have to brandish your Cam/Panther bonafides if/when you're going to critique him (for so many of those that do unnecessarily go after him), avoiding the Cam Police. I've been on Patrol a few times myself. Lol

It's all good.

I will be honest, nothing pisses me to off than to see the blantant double standard from today's media.  The media is busy talking about how "mature" Cam has gotten since last year when they spent an entire season tearing him down because they didn't like his demeanor after a team lost. But this grown ass 37 year old man can behave however he wants, nclusing swearing, after his team loses and those in media ain't got a got damn thing to say, except...It's "Tom Brady." So, when you look like players like Tom Brady, Peyton Manning and Luck, it's human to get mad and show emotions when you're team loses. But when you look like Cam, or Dez Bryant, you need to be more mindful of your behavior because it shows that you're not being a  "mature leader." Who the fug writes the BS these Idiots in our media preaches.

Oh yeah I forgot, Tom Brady can show emotions but Dez Bryant can't. Is it really just about winning SB rings that allow some players immaturity to go unchecked by those in the media?

Couldn't agree more. It's not enough that you notice his development as a player and a professional - in fact, somehow that's a knock on him. Sheesh.

That said, I've never had a problem with Cam's media appearances. There were some bad ones, but I always felt like they were more a result of hating to lose than anything else. He is savvier to be sure...

My only concern with Cam is that he overthrows his receivers too often. G*ddamn that guys sails the ball into the popcorn stands sometimes.

That, and I wish he'd run more. He's such a threat with his legs it's ridiculous.
