What 49ers Fans are Saying

After a week of less than stellar football talk, none returned after they were beaten.

I expect the same over the next week.

None? Wrong. I was back and gave the Panthers props. But I'm sure this is not the first time you've been wrong, and certainly not the last.

The 1 point, again, ONE POINT win at the 'stick was impressive given that you had to travel and play the defending NFC Champion. Your Defense is for real, no doubt. The problems you'll have this week is the willingness of Harbaugh (via Roman) to put Kaep in danger by running, the return of Crab, and the grind of our ground game. Kaep was purposely handcuffed during the regular-season because no one wants to see Colt McCoy come in.

Now, if you think--like apparently a lot of Carolina fans do--that you kicked our ass in SF you're going to be sorely dissapointed in the close, physical game at BOA. Can you win? Of course; the Pack almost took down the NINERS and they weren't even "supposed" to be in that game.

Overall, I like our chances on the road against an opponent that looks a lot like our division rivals: seahags; and, let's face it, like us. My first prediction: SF 23 (two TDs, 3 FGs -- sorry point counters, no safety this time) CAR 17 (two TDs, 1 FG).

This game is over before it even starts.  You guys have peaked and thats the problem.  With a depleted roster no Crabs, No Vernon, No Willis... You guys excaped by 1 point.  With our full arsenal and the roll we are on  Let just hope Cam dont get super emotional on us.....

For my 100 post....

I see a blow out with the 49ers tanking like they did against the Colts in week three and our offense goes supersonic. Kap is another game manager that when he needs to throw into a tight window, runs instead. I doubt he can escape our LBs like in GB and that will not end well... Good bye Tats...ice up, son

30 -10 Panthers cruise to a win...

Now on to more important things....A all South NFC championship....in CLT. We're waiting for you Breezy.....

I don't think you'll find any (reasonable) posters on here that think we "kicked your ass" in SF during the regular season... but you have to admit that our D shut your offense down.  3 FG's is not much of an outing.  Granted we only scored 10, but our offense has been hit or miss in the second half of the year.

I'm not ashamed to say that I thought we would lose to the 49ers in the regular season, I was very impressed with the game that the Panthers put up then, and that made me really believe we had something special this year.  I had the 49ers pegged as a top 3 NFC team all season.

idk how "handcuffed" Kaep has been... I haven't watched enough 49ers games this year to be knowledgeable on that... I do feel that Cam has been told to be a pocket passer and when he does run to not take any chances... I'm hoping that they will "set him free" so to speak...  I watched the game yesterday and aside from that one 42 yard run Kaep had, I didn't see him doing a whole lot of planned running?

    • Yep. I was hoping for and calling for a day three guy. But I didn’t research the position to say if we should or should‘t have jumped at a particular guy at a particular spot.    And everything I read said it was a poor draft for RBs depth wise. I guess when Seattle takes a backup RB in the 1st, that kind of backs that up.    I definitely think we should keep 4 running backs and if King can play well enough then keep him too.    I believe I heard Canales say we are a running team (talking about drafting a WR he will be needing to block as well as catch). Well if we are gonna be a running team by identity we don’t need to stock the WR room to overflowing. If one room has to sacrifice, it should not be the RB room given our circumstances.
    • If there's a pattern I'm definitely picking up from Dan and company is a philosophy of making trades where we try not to sacrifice the number of draft picks we have by day's end. In other words, we're not giving up three picks for one, or giving up a future pick to make a pick today. And even if we give up something at the start, we make trades later to make up for that initial loss. Here's how it stacked up for 2026: How we started: 19, 51, 83, 119, 158, 159, 200 How we ended: 19, 49, 83, 129, 144, 151, 227 (no future picks sacrificed) Ultimately, we moved up two spots in the second to ensure we got someone we coveted, gave up a few spots for our fourth round pick, but then had better picks in the 5th (and got really good value out of them), and had a worse 7th rounder which isn't that big of a loss anyways.  At this point, we can question who they draft, but they're pretty good maneuvering across the draft board.
    • I just saw the funniest thing...or very disappointing, depending how you handle misery. A guy on YouTube did a 2027 'way too early' mock draft.  If I told you the simulator has the Panthers selecting in the top 10 , what would you say?  If I told you it was pick #8 and only two QBs were taken in the top 7, what would you say?  If I told you this dude had us taking a defensive player, what would you say?
