This isn't going to happen. Sorry for  safety wanting fans but, with Godfrey likely to on the roster not to mention lester and mitchell and maybe mikell likely to return. The  Need just isn't there. were losing all receivers ginn, lafell hix and so on. Not to mention the big hol on toffensive line. It's just not really possible and would be a black eye to the franchise(and cam) if this were to happen. END.

Not sure what you're talking about.

Gman didnt draft Godfrey and with a bad contract + injury he could likely be gone. At this point, no one can assume that Mitchell and Mikell are locks. There's a high chance that Mitchell is back, but not an aging Mikell. Lester played well as an udfa, but I'm not sure Rivera feels comfortable with him being the starter just yet.

For whatever I know, Rivera was linked to two "safeties" in consecutive years: Mark Barron (2012) and Kenny Vaccaro (2013). I'm pretty sure that Rivera will take a hard look at Pryor during the draft process. Atm, safety is as big a need as everything else.

Godfrey's contract is so big that if we were were cut we would leave 5 million in cap on the table as dead money. That said cutting him isn't realistic. Add to the fact mitchell played at a pro bowl level he likely returns as well. With lester there in the wings Signing a safety in the first round isn't realistic Even if we factor in mikell is gone(no word yet). Just not gonna happen unless mitchell walks even then i dout the team is uncomfortable with lester where as to draft a safety to play ahead of him in the first. Godfrey staying pretty much messes up the whole idea of that which is why NO ONE has mocked a safety to us. This would be about as likely as us drafting a RB in the first.

Would love to have Pryor here..

Have Pryor start at SS and resign Mitchell to play FS

I agree that Pryor would be a great choice for us @ #28. However, if Mike Mitchell were re-signed, he would likely man the SS spot while Pryor would be a potential starter @ FS.

With what the Aints just did, it's not a shock if Godfrey isnt back. Making Godfrey a June 1 cut will free up around  $4-5mil. Dont see why we Gman wouldnt cut him.

From what i understand cutting him would free up about 2 million while leaving us stuck with a 5 million dollar cap hit. For a team trying to resign two high level stars(Cam,Hardy). I don't see how we can leave 5 million dollars going to waste just  to cut a position of need and then draft a player at the same position. Just isn't very logical.

No, it would free up close to 5mil as a June 1 cut.

Also, not sure if Hardy is coming back. Def think that he's not getting a long term contract. If anything, a franchise tag. We'll be in better position next season and the year after that. We should have no problem signing Cam, etc.

I'm not sure if you should go that far and make such a bold statement about Moncrief being a 3rd rounder.

Show me one person that has in in the 1st? haven't seen him in the second either. He will run around a 4.6 and land in the 3rd round is the idea i've been getting from reading scouting reports and so on. Right now matthews and cooks look to land in the second round range as well so its hard to see him in the same league as those 2.

    • Over previous years? Sure is 😆
    • An odd little vibe I've noticed here of late: some folks are "all or nothing" to an absolutely extreme level when it comes to Bryce. Here's a bit of truth telling though: There are, in fact, things Bryce does well. Likewise, there are areas in which he's improved over his time here. He has, on several occasions now, legitimately helped us win games. On the flipside, there have been failures in other areas as well as coaching that we're not in any way his fault.  And finally , it is also genuinely possible that the team may see him as the future, even if we don't. The craziest part, though? It's actually possible that they're right and we're wrong. All of this is true, and more, yet if you accept any of these premises people go from zero to apesh-t in under three seconds 😳 Anything less than total disavowal of Bryce and / or agreement that he's the worst QB of all time and suddenly you're a "stan". Oy 🙄 The reality though?  Bryce is indeed an NFL quarterback. Not a great one, probably backup level good, and I've seen way worse. Now, if you run that statement through your personal Google translator and it comes back with some version of "I want to throw 50 million a year at Bryce for the next 10 years", that's not really my issue it's yours  I don't wanna make him the franchise quarterback, but it's not my call. Win or lose, the team is going to do what they think is best. And as always, if it disagrees with what I think we should do, I'm gonna hope I'm the one who's wrong. Internet clout means nothing. Watching my favorite team win at my favorite sport meas fun 😁
