New Orleans also kept their defense rested, you know how? They spent time substituting players, and changing the play at the line. We on the other hand just stand around and wait for a last second snap. Running the ball a lot of the time actually takes less time than a slow developing pass play. Incomplete passes stop the clock, but not as much as you would think. Most of our time being ate up is just standing around, the same as New Orleans.

I am actually pumped.  The unknown is much more inviting than what we had.  There are a lot of folks freaking out, but Gett will get it done.  He is simply waiting for the deals.

One of my points is that our conservative O greatly helped our defense by sustaining drives and eating clock. The two go hand in hand. Our offensive personnel sucked, so we went with a defensive minded overall game plan approach.

What? We upgraded our receivers. They had more experience, and Cam did as well. Chud's first year offense would have worked provided we found a pass catching TE.

Upgrade? At the time, we added Ginn who hasn't seen the field in two years on a cheap 1 year deal. We can't do that again this season? If an upgrade is that easy idk why you are freaking out about not snatching one of these "names" at the beginning of FA.

When we added Ginn we also had Smitty, Lafell, Gettis, AE, Pilares, and Hixon. Remember when we were told that Gettis and AE were going to contribute? What if King and Mcnutt are this year's AE and Gettis? Only now we don't have Lafell, Gettis, AE, Hixon, and Smitty. 

 

Serioulsy Ask yourself, do we really want to have to depend on somebody who couldn't land a job before Lafell? And if Smitty was such a distraction, why is everyone jumping ship now that he's gone? You'd think it would be the opposite

Why would I be making excuses for a team that went 12-4?

I'm simply stating that the conservative offense helped our defense, which in return won us games.

I'm all for upgrading. Resigning our old players for more money than they are worth is not upgrading to me. If we can get some good personnel in here our team philosophy will probably change
