Until you beat the 2-time defending champs in the playoffs and knock the king off his throne, they and he are both the best. We're talking playoffs here - not regular season.

San Antonio has 4 rings...

They outplayed Miami last year in the Finals & would've won if not for some BS desperation shots by Allen...

Get out of here with the King/throne BS. LeBron isn't nearly as good in the Finals. He turns into a mental midget.

So the are pussies for "tanking" in order to avoid the Bulls in round two, but you all are fine with this thread about doing all we can to avoid the Heat in round one? That's funny stuff.

 

Miami has won two titles in a row. LeBron is one of the best players of all time already. They have the second best record in the East. They can do whatever the hell they want.

I'll be the first to say, if we play the heat we beat them in 6.

SA doesn't have last year's ring. Or the one from the year before that. We're not going back in history here and comparing which franchise has had more historical success. The Heat are the champs until they're beaten. LeBron is the NBA and the NBA Finals MVP until he's replaced. Your opinions are irrelevant until that happens.

There is no excuse for tanking a game, it's called gamesmanship... and it something you would never see at the college level which is why the NCAA is FAAARR superior than the NBA.

 

 

The NFL teams rest their players, too, once their playoff seeding is locked up.

Injury factor... much more of a chance that a player will get injured playing football than basketball.

And for the record, I don't think NFL teams should sit their players either... especially with fans paying to come see then play.

      I’m really having a hard time understanding how this actually went down. -Renfrow expected to make roster as 2nd/3rd string. -Panthers cut Renfrow; Keep Brycen Tremayne, and add UDFA receiver (Dalevon Campbell) to active roster.  -Canales/Morgan say it’s totally up to Hunter whether he wants to come back or not, they would love to have him.    -Renfrow not signed to PS -Panthers trade Adam Thielen -Hunter Renfrow signed to active roster with a raise after an injury to Coker nobody heard about and is likely to start.    Our WR room is now: -Xavier Legette (2024 1st round pick) -Tet McMillan (2025 1st round pick) -Hunter Renfrow (1 year out of the league) -David Moore (Canales’ friend? A guy way past his prime) -Jimmy Horn (Likely a Shi Smith reprint, but has potential 2025 6th round pick, weighs 174 lbs) -Brycen Tremayne (2023 UDFA who was on Washington’s PS for 2 years and caught 1 pass for -2 yards and averaged 300 yards per year at Stanford) -Dalevon Campbell (2025 UDFA had a good preseason but had 1463 yards and 3 TDs over 5 college seasons at 3 different schools). What the hell is going on?

      Not uncommon for week 1 games. Especially against good defenses. It’s why I prefer my team play these small schools week 1 if they are going to play them. Gives the offense time to get calibrated.
