As good as this team has been this year there is still a 17.6% chance that we own the 9th Pick of the NBA Draft this year. We would need one of the teams after Detroit to move up to the top 3 and push the pistons down 1 spot to nine... A little better than 1 out of 6 chance... so the roll of 1 Die.... Not bad odds.

Also I am putting $$$$ on the Cats to beat Miami... I don't know why and I don't care about our record vs them but I really feel like we will upset Miami.

Honestly I may rather not get Detroit's pick this season.

They're a mess, and are going to be a mess next year. They flat out sucked this year...and weren't trying to tank. Something tells me they could end up being in the bottom 5 or so next year, and the pick could become a lot more valuable.

If we do wind up getting the pick this year, I'd love to try moving up into the top 6 of the draft, but doubt we'd find a taker.

Some think they will be better next year but as long as Jennings as their PG I don't see it.

    • Bryce and Dave will determine how many games this team wins next year. It’s not on the WRs. The RBs. LBs. This is about 2 things: 1. Can Bryce continue to come up big in the few key downs that decide most games?  2. Can Canales evolve his play calling to counter punch like the big boys do. Half time adjustments.  teams that score 30+ points on the regular win more games than not. That’s on Bryce and Dave. The offense is top 10 at every position group, save for TE and QB. A baller TE is gravy but not crucial when the receivers are dudes.  The defense is the defense. It’ll be better this season, hopefully by a large margin, but Dave/Bryce is really where it’s at.
    • Normally I'd wholeheartedly agree with this. But I feel like teams figured out this offense after the Raiders game. Bryce was so inept the first 2 games that we couldn't really even run the offense. Dalton's first game showed what we had. But after that game, coverages got a lot tighter and windows were smaller. When Bryce came back in, his ability to extend plays made a big difference. It's really difficult to stop a QB that can beat/escape 1on1 tacklers. It puts a lot of pressure on the defense when you blitz. And he was completing throws in tight coverage with anticipation. Point being Bryce wasn't throwing to wide open receivers that were schemed open by the offense. Occasionally yes. But not often.
    • With the additions we've made to our roster combined with the state of the division and the conference as a whole there is no excuse for this team not to make a legitimate push for 8-9 wins. Anything less is honestly inexcusable. There will be no more free passes for being a doormat in this iteration of the league where even mediocre teams are competing for playoff spots.
