Thomas Davis Sees Playoff Push For The Panthers

Thomas Davis Playoffs

"I see us finishing our season in New Orleans and I don't mean playing the New Orleans Saints," Davis told the Athens Herald-Banner, via ESPN.com. "I'm looking forward to getting a healthy team back together and everyone gelling. I think that we can make a strong push to the playoffs and possibly to the Super Bowl."

Panthers trainer Ryan Vermillion told the Charlotte Observer in February that no player in NFL history has come back from three ACL surgeries on the same knee, but Davis told the Herald-Banner: "I am looking forward to playing the full 19 game season and winning the Super Bowl."

I normally hate it when players shoot of their mouths about superbowl runs, but in this case it's more of  a positive attitude and setting of expectations. Doesn't look like this team will be making any milquetoast "we just have to win three out of four games" speeches. This ain't your daddy's carolina panthers.

This right here; his mentality and leadership style, is why everybody throughout the organization loves this guy so much. He not cocky or arrogant, but exudes just the right amount of confidence that everybody in that locker room wants to emulate. We do have a special group of players, and I honestly believe exactly what he says.

I hope that TD can beat the odds, and if by chance he doesn't, I'd love to see him hired on to be apart of our staff. I really do hope and pray for his health though.

Let's hope that this is indeed the year... It sure would be awesome!
Champion.
I'm starting to think our players are buying into the Newton hype even more then us fans.

This is a good thing.
I hope he's right, but sadly I don't think Thomas Davis will be apart of it.
I don't have much hope for Davis playing. He will probably go down again. But how amazing would it be if he did play the full season and did it pretty decent.

I hope not again...real heartbreaking last season.
All the heart in the world and a noodle for a knee.... it sucks.
:( he said worst to first last year
TD comes back, he needs to be a situational LB. Maybe just on 3rd downs. I would not push the limits of his rebuilt ACL.
