  1. Past hour
  2. Unfortunately I like Pickett the least out of those three.
  3. Pressure win rate and advanced stats is probably what Morgan and company were looking at. We're betting on his health. The needle is moving in the right direction.
  4. It’s ironic how you call others ignorant and say they don’t know anything about the player… The player
  5. 9th in pressures last year. Almost had more did individually than we did as a team but people only know sacks. Also another year removed from his achillies injury. Great player and person. Slightly overpaid but that’s FA for ya
  6. I wonder if O’Connell could fix Zach Wilson
  7. The coaches and GM disagree. Well damn. A coach that got zero calls to coach for any other team and a GM that learned at the feet of one of the worst GMs in NFL history. Forgive me if I find their resume lacking. 3rd year starting QB that only eclipsed 3k yards on the last play of the season. He may be 24 but his extension is on the horizon. Bryce wouldn't have the unconditional QB1 spot on any other team with a competent GM. 1st round QB extensions come right about now. Are you willing to lock Bryce in at 50m a season for the next 5 years? If you aren't, you should be looking for plan B.
  8. He looped terrible. The right move is to bring in legit competition. Don't pull a Panthers and be three years down the road and still refusing to do it.
  9. Yeah Baker was a pro bowler and took the Browns to the playoffs, he just got unlucky to have Haslam as an owner do the whole Deshaun Watson thing among his many other blunders. Carolina had the right idea with him we just had that idiot Rhule. Sam Darnold is a bigger outlier than people think. Geno Smith was a backup or out of the league for it seems like a decade, idk exactly how long but it was a long time. And that Seattle team he looked so good with won the Super Bowl the year they upgraded QB and he went back to being total garbage on a less talented team. People thinking Darnolds are everywhere now.
  10. I’m more interested to see what Arizona does. I can’t really see any of the above landing there
  11. It’s funny how ignorant nfl fans are. Claiming he is a bust because he doesn’t have a lot of sacks. Which shows they only read box scores and know nothing about qb pressures or how players can cover or affect the run game.
  12. I too am an edge whore. I am also a tight end whore, but I digress... We have some work to do. Interesting stuff about WR and CB. I know they just signed some bottom of the roster CBs--and we forget about UDFA Thornton from last year (injury), but we are thin. Jones? He is a veteran who is 27. He is decent depth, and cutting him creates $5.3m in dead cap and saves about $4.7m in cap room. You might be right, but I would not cut him. Cutting Robinson (done already?) saves about $10.5m. Tremble saves $6m. I would extend Ickey. team friendly, but you could spread out the hit. If he recovers, the Panthers get a deal. If he does not, he gets a deal and the panthers lose about $5-10m. Moehrig, Brown, Horn, Lewis--can be reworked if necessary--I dunno. Not as good at cap management as some.
  13. It will be interesting to see if they give up on JJ or not. If they want to win now then I can see them getting a vet.
  14. Just think, for a few million more than we signed Pickett for this season, we could have had Blankenship.
  15. Well the coaches would disagree. Bryce has shown improvement each year so there’s still hope. Next year will be the year I think for certain we will know if he’s the guy or not. He’s still only 24 and to give up ok a qb that early is just dumb.
  16. I mean I guess it could happen, O’Connell tends to prefer statues.
  17. If we restructure Moehrig, Hunt, Brown, Horn and cut Jones, Dalton (Post 6/1) and Robinson, it’s like 74 million in cap space. I did it on sport trac the other day.
  18. were not signing Lloyd, were running up the price
  19. Why is no one here talking about Murray to the Vikings? I’ve seen a lot of people talking about it.
  20. Unpopular Opinion: I would rather just sign Leo Chenal or Kaden Elliss and move on to OL rather than overpay for Lloyd in some type of crazy bidding war.
  21. Bryce has not proven a damn thing to be QB1. We should be exploring options everywhere. Find someone with the tools who may or may not be able to develop, but at least has the physical ability to do the job. Pickett has none of those things. This is just a different way to keep any pressure off of Bryce. There will be no mid round QB.
  22. This dude looks like he just crawled out of his mom’s basement after eating bowl of cereal and throwing sport jacket on.
  23. Baker isn’t mid tier. lol. Geno played well. Mac Jones is looking like another possible starter. Malik Willis just got a big contract. He wasn’t a first but still he was considered a bust. Daniel Jones was a MVP candidate before the injury, Jared Goff was benched for a no name QB in the playoffs and out of the door. We will see what happens to Murray. Trevor Lawrence was looking like a bust and now that he has a new coach those talks have went away.
  24. Keep in mind his Passer rating is 78.2 and Bryce Young’s is 80.9. He is basically taller Bryce Young. But yes. He does find a way to win games.
  25. (4) NFL on CBS on X: ""A move that immediately puts Carolina in that next tier." @B_DiNucci6 on the Panthers adding pass rusher Jaelan Phillips. https://t.co/aLBGNWcmif" / X
