I just think Renfrow is just small…..and that highlights Bryce’s ball placement/accuracy issues. Especially given the routes Canales is sending Renfrow on. they need to actually let Renfrow run his specialty and then mix Tremayne or Coker (pending XL gets back on the field) in for the more downfield stuff (bigger targets problem solve more for Bryce). I think the Renfrow issue is just a QB that can’t put it on him. And it’s a completely different world putting a ball on Renfrow than TMac

I don't think what I saw was proof we have improved that much. More like we played an opponent dumber and/or worse than we were. Still are likely a 4 to 7 win team. There will be other wins. I would like to see more shelling of NFC South opponents included in that 4-7 wins.

If the defense really has improved, then yes. If Sunday was just a fluke, then no.

Not equating the two, just saying they aren't clicking, like XL isn't. XL's issues are almost all self created. Not sure what to think of HR and Bryce. They don't seem very compatible early. AT and Bryce clicked VERY early on, so I am worried Renfrow just isn't a good fit with this offense.

I am just saying that the performances one the field need to be the thing that defines you. The being a funny social media guy is substantially less important, IMO.

NFL defenses have shifted to a trend of 2 high to take away the deep vertical balls and limit explosive plays/offenses.

Lol Bryce wasn’t ready and he still isn’t. His footwork is atrocious. If we go Sellers I would expect this organization to bring in a viable veteran or let Bryce ride out his 4th season without the 5th year option. Either way it’s time. The problem is even in games where he is turning the ball over and largely terrible eventually it opens the door for garbage time stats that skew the conversation and simply serve as a tool for some to argue in favor of prolonging the inevitable. For a third year QB the only numbers that should hold weight are what he does in crunch time and when the game matters. Even in the recent dominating win there's just no meat on the bone there. Nothing that stands out.

True, but he frankly has been open enough he should be league in the CPOY race with good balls thrown to him. Renfrow has been open and Renfrow doesn’t have a hands issue. now does Bryce frankly need the Gettlemen WR logic to be applied and need big targets? I’d say so. I also think Canales doesn’t really know how to use Renfrow and just plugs him into AT role (and they aren’t the same type slot WR)

No. That is the definition of mediocrity. It looks great next to 2-15, I will concede that. He has to do better. He to be the reason, not the weak link.

At the end of the day Renfrow was available for a reason. But ball placement matters and it has to get better. Renfrow hasn't been the only one affected by it either.
