mrcompletely11 replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
Bryce young year 3, 7 games in: stats 184 yards game, 61% completion 11 tds 5ints (not including the fumbles) Tell me again why we need a graph to say he is getting better? -
Damning indictment of Bryce Young

I mean the title of the thread is pretty straight forward, what did you think it was going to be when you opened it? Damning indictment of Bryce Young -

Why isn’t this a labeled scatter plot. The y axis is useless. Post benching occurs across multiple seasons, players, etc I strongly suspect this isn’t statistically significant but it’s impossible to calculate because a child did this graph. Or an idiot asked chat gpt to do it for him and has never actually done a regression analysis -

I simply cannot imagine watching 3 years of Young and still having to cherry pick scenarios where he is not a horrific nfl qb. maybe ask yourself, why is the coaching staff asking him to play "ultraconservative" hmmmmmmmm -
I think we've got the talking points around Bryce Young pretty well covered on all sides at this point. Let's see how the team and specifically the offense look this Sunday and go from there.

Cam Newton gets into it with Alabama A&M mascot
strato replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Man wtf. Some mean comments in there but some hilarious ones too. -
Odd you forgot to include the Cowboys game. As far as the Falcons and Jets games, he did exactly what the coaching staff wanted him to do. Play ultraconservatively protecting the ball. He didnt need to put up 300 yards. Yes, the Jags was a poo show. So was the first game his second season and his first game his first season. For whatever reason his first game of the season are all turds Then he had the early turnovers against the Cardinals which was ugly as well, but after that, he played good.

And you aren’t trolling right now?
-
Or they can see, and also don’t have to rely on imperfect transpositions of performance to numbers.
-
Totally unserious - you’re just turning into trolls at this point
-
Okay so none of that is the coming in in relief before he got back the starting job. Thank you.
-
It did. It also got rid of a couple that could have really helped us. And it got us Bryce Young too. Impatience is a bitch.
-
The problem with the eyeball test is some people use confirmational bias as lenses.
-
He will be the 40 goal guy we’ve needed for years, who plays all phases. Homegrown.
-
Also to be clear, these are just when he started the game so they only reflect his qb rating

Impatience gets you 10 qbs in 7 years. That's not a recipe for success
-
Unprovoked is a word choice that’s for sure. If he starts playing well enough then criticism might be unprovoked. I don’t know what to say to this. People call it like they see it.
-
It's every game as a starter both before and after his benching and it's simply his qb rating. The post stated he was not improving. I simply posted his qb rating trend.
-
That is probably an area where it aligns with real life though. Pretty general assessment.

On the Fantasy Football XM channel today, they were talking about injuries for each game and when they go to ours they asked how Bryce being out and having Dalton would affect the rest of our offensive players for fantasy. Each one of them said that it was probably better for our WRs that it would be Dalton instead of Bryce. I know fantasy isn't the same as real life football, but it's still a bad look when they all think our pass catchers are better off with Dalton than Bryce back there.

Seth Walder: Regrading 8 trades from the 2024 NFL trade deadline
Waldo replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I was in the camp of 'it's probably going to end poorly'. He sure looked to fit that mold. Just glad they dumped him in the end. -
I was told the Bryce stans were the problem yet almost every post or topic turns into Bryce bashing unprovoked. Pathetic
-
Think he might bring a little more mobility at QB. The guy we just signed might bring the extend the play kinda QB I don't know. Kinda like to know so got bio from Panthers. https://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/nfl/carolina-panthers/article312581546.html
