  1. Past hour
  2. Lot of good things happening with UNC in recruiting and the portal. Next year's team should be stacked if everything comes together like it's looking
  3. I think your analysis is spot on. Someone posted a Greg Cossell interview on here a week or so ago and I liked his analysis on YAC essentially saying sometimes it’s receiver driven and other times QB (stated much more eloquently and extensively by Greg). If the team can’t execute plays that give the receiver that opportunity it’s irrelevant.
  4. MHS has posted this same thing with different words in about 3 threads now. It’s great content and it’s largely indisputable. But you can do this same style write up for every position in the 2026 class. This is just a fancy way of showing an anti OT hard on.
  5. Today
  6. That whole debacle with X pre draft was a teaching moment. They kept things close to the vest last year.
  7. The Panthers 1st pick should be about maximum value and immediate impact. That would be either S LB OT or DL. We also have a looming catastrophe at C if anyone goes down to injury. Legitimately this should be talked about more idk how some of you have completely erased the sight of Matt Paradis and Pat Elflein from your memory banks. There's no reason we cannot come out of this draft addressing virtually all of the above in some capacity. That is how Morgan and Tillis will earn their salary.
  8. Brother you've been WR driven for going on almost two decades now. No need for us to discuss further.
  9. First, apologies @MHS831, I know you began this about tackles, and it was good. But... Frank, your post is just another Bryce sucks post. You obviously believe, like your buddy, that if we draft a WR it's all about evaluating Bryce Young or coddling Bryce Young. In short, it would be about improving the damned team. If anything, if Bryce is as destined to fail (or is already a failure right now... irredeemable), then another playmaker at WR would just seal the envelope and send him on his way. In my world, that's a good thing. If some of you think that Bryce is a lame duck, then why wouldn't you want to set the offense up for the next QB to come in and be dropped into the offense to have success? Or, maybe you think it's all a moot point anyway because Tepper sucks, Dan Morgan sucks, Canales sucks, Ejiro sucks, Brandt Tilis sucks---everybidy sucks! If that's the case, then why does anyone care who or what we draft? Obviously some of you have all the answers and can run a gotdamn franchise better than the FO does now.
  10. Yeah man, idk. I’m not super big on looking at the position group overall and damning the group. I’ll do the same with less words for WR. I think Proctor is the ultimate fit because he could be your future left or right tackle or left or right guard. Guys a starter, how much Zavala, Christensen, Curhan, and Corbett did we see last year again? Mauigoa will not be there when we pick, but you take him for the same reason you take Proctor minus maybe the LT. Freeling *could* be an upgrade at LT for the future. You don’t take Miller or Iheanahor because the position flexibility isn’t there, likely RT only guys. Those Utah guys are light in the ass, don’t want. Now I do WR. All extremely unproductive when compared to previous Round 1 WR. Tate- Gone Lemon- Complete player, not a burner, would take at 19 Tyson- Made of glass, Colorado washout Cooper- Not the best hands. Like 300 of his yards were lucky ass stumble blooper looking poo. Bernard gives you similar but better in the 2nd. KC- Slaps then catches the ball. Lightning fast for about 20 yards. Good return man. poo QBs probably more to unlock. Would take at 19 if Proctor, Freeling, Lemon were gone. Washington guy- Lumbers, the smoothness Canales hyped for TMac, not there with him. We need a different style player.
  11. Logically yes. Boston has the right balance though. Jalen Brown is #2 in the paint and their best shooters are 17th and 19th. While our best shooters are #1 and #2 and we have one player in the top 50 for points in the paint. And my understanding looking at the information I just referenced is we were basically at the exact same paint percentage last year in Charles Lee's offense. At the end of the day we either want to compete for a playoff series winner and the finals or we just want to stumble our way to another play in. We've already done that with James Borrego.
  12. We need more bigs. I love Moose, but him coming off the bench would be ideal. Even Kalkbrenner slowed down Duren/Stewart from my eyes. Draft someone like 7’3 Center from Michigan Aday Mara. We have plenty of talent, we need size. I really want Yaxel and one of Mara/ Quaintance.
  13. We don't need another first round WR to evaluate Bryce Young. You could give him a young Jerry Rice Randy Moss and Justin Jefferson and he would still struggle to lead the group to a top 20 passing offense because he simply cannot utilize the entire field consistently. All we're going to end up with by drafting another first round wide receiver is a disgruntled WR room. Because one there are not that many touches to go around and two the touches that will be available maybe half of them will result in good to great ball placement. And the bulk of them will be thrown at or behind the line of scrimmage. If the FO goes WR at 19 all involved might as well go ahead and start looking at other job opportunities down the line.
  14. I think him and tet could be a cheat code. Plus Boston has Punt return capability.
  15. We're built a lot like Boston, but Boston has jaylen brown killing it on 2 pointers
  16. Honestly, you don't listen to a word I've said either. A board, WHERE THE BPA comes from, IS GOING TO HAVE POSITIONAL VALUE BUILT IN! Damn, man!
  17. And BPA is not even something magical, but y'all do y'all.
  18. It is not; I don't care how many times you say it. You obviously don't believe a word that Dan Morgan says. But if it makes you comfortable to believe it's a myth, then believe on!
  19. And, for the record, I would love to get Monroe Freeling. He's a fellow Bulldog, teachable and will be an excellent choice in my opinion.
  20. https://www.teamrankings.com/nba/stat/points-in-paint-per-game The Hornets currently sit at 25th in the league in points in the paint. https://www.basketball-reference.com/leagues/NBA_2026_totals.html#totals_stats::fg2_pct You have to scroll all the way down to 45 and 91 to find Miles Bridges and Brandon Miller for our 2pt leaders. LaMelo is all the way down at 99. As fun as some of the games have been this season I think it needs to be reflected upon through less rosier lenses. Current outlook of the Hornets. Pros: 7th youngest team in the league and one of the young cores with the most potential. Cons: Too much credit had been given to the staff for leaning entirely on simplistic offense that consists of chucking up absurdly high volume threes and virtually no emphasis on development in the paint. We need to pump the brakes on all this coach of the year talk for Charles Lee. Where we go from here is exceptionally pivotal. If the powers that be think we are on the cusp of something special and don't at all need to consider significant changes including on staff it could end up being an all time blunder.
  21. The simple "BPA drafting" is a complete myth. If you believe it then it says you dont look at the positional value, dont look at draft depth and dont look at roster make up. There is no way on Gods green earth that at pick 19 the 5th/6th wr is going to be the BPA. Thats simply moronic to think. If we go that route I hope the FO doesnt try the old "piss on my leg and tell me its raining" explanation. Simply say its imperative we evaluate bryce and giving him another weapon helps us in that process. If that happens and I am EE I would be losing my mind if we pass on a starting safety or Dtackle depth
  22. After watching Denzel Boston he might be my be my pick for receiver now. But what do I know.
  23. No, I have been consistent. Take the BPA. You don't reach down over a position to take a lower graded player out of a sense of need, or some decidedly arbitrary notion that you can't draft a position three times in a row. That's why I have debated WR. Don't reach down! That reeks of desperation which doesn't lead to the desired results. No one knows how the draft will fall, so all we have to deal with is "ifs." I've consistently said that you follow your board. It's that simple. If your BPA is OT, take him. If it's safety, take him. If it's LB, take him. If it's EDGE, take him. If it's WR, take him. It's that simple.
  24. This whole "what if WR is the best player available" has quickly changed in to a decree that it will be and acting as if you need to convince fans in order to make it happen. Just say you want a WR. This isnt logical anymore.
