  1. Past hour
  2. How do they know that?? Reminder this is the jaguars org. Lloyd is a better fit for that panthers and Coker better for the Jags. Jags have a surplus of LBs and Panthers have surplus of WRs. Each team improves while not losing.
  3. I think it's fair, I just think Coker potentially helps to answer our most pressing questions more than Lloyd does and I'm just not trying to make knee jerk decisions to try to bandaid a roster together. There will be LBs that hit the waiver wire that can fill the gap. Literally and figuratively. A big part of what made our LBs look so horrific last year was the DL in front of them and it should be greatly improved this year.
  4. That's fair. I feel their is a slim chance at playoffs. And I always do both with future and now, its a difficult measure there. Lloyd is just as young, the big difference is Coker has one extra year of contract controll. But Lloyd was drafted in the late 1st and Coker wasn't drafted, again that's a balance taking place. Just spitting an idea that in my mind is fair to each side, after Panthers main trade chip got hurt yesterday. But Ive been thinking about the deep WR, I know those two UDFAs Hudson and George got some skills too. With the odds against Coker after he posted that good season, great if you say include UDFA....This is his peak value, unless he's a HOFer or injuries hit hard, he's not going to move the sticks much this season. Cokerheads must open their eyes and close the nostrils.
  5. True but in the last decade….only QBs (8) and WRs (2) have won the award. One DB. It’s a passing league and a story driven league
  6. This 100%. At worst we trade a conditional 7th for a guy before cut downs. Zero reason whatsoever to trade Coker. We have the money to sign a FA ILB if we want also. I want the strongest offense possible for a 17 week season.
  7. Why are they trading a starter for someone you dont think will be active here?
  8. I hate to tell you this, but we're almost certainly not winning the SB this year and may not even compete for a playoff berth. I literally only care about four things this season. 1) Make the call on Bryce. He finally looked like an actual NFL QB in the second half of last year but we're rapidly approaching the point we have to make a decision if he's the guy or we need to move on and swing again. 2) Development of young pass catchers. We've spent a lot of draft capital and have a lot of unproven young bodies, who's gonna rise to the top. 3) The young rookie pass rushers. How are they looking? 4) Just overall continued development of the team and the staff. I want to see that we're heading in the right direction. Jalen Coker potentially helps with #1 and #2. Where does Devin Lloyd help? Arguably #4? Maybe? I'm keeping Coker. I have zero desire to keep trying to duct tape together the best bad roster we can manage.
  9. Now I will concede here. If Panthers decide they will not pay LBs, Coker is a better fit.
  10. Bro he is not a disappointment. He's very durable and PFF loves him (which the Panthers are big fans now....)along with being right there in top categories. He gotten better each year as well, I don't know why jags want to go a different path, Panthers can gain for it. If Panthers remain healthy, Coker will not be active most gamedays. He's not a STer, horn kills him there. How many targets will Coker see this season? TDs? What's your guess?
  11. With this organizations history of paying LBs the last thing I want to do is trade a promising young WR for a disappointing former 1st round LB going into a contract year. Sounds like a recipe for salary cap disaster to me.
  12. Panthers will only activate 4 WR on gameday- AT, TMac, XL, and Hunter. Huddle- "Coker on the bench is much better than Lloyd getting 70 snaps 10tacs leading the Defense" I will bump this thread each week Coker is inactive
  13. Into the 20s! So from 32 to 29? Oh damn! Let's go!!!! Dude, he's a 1st round disappointment who the second worst D in the league is ready to punt on. We have no idea what we have at WR in our youngsters. Bryce is going into what should be his final prove it year. Yeah, I'm definitely sticking with the promising young WR. I have no idea why Coker wasn't in Minnesota and I honestly don't really care.
  14. I see that since they are all cokeheads with no future vision!!
  15. 2/3 of the huddle would grab it given the chance
  16. Check my stuff above........ this is a weird deal bro.....
  17. Yesterday
  18. That's true. There are rare cases where teams still resign them, but its around 1-2% odds.
  19. You are quite literally the only person in this thread that thinks this is even remotely good idea. Let that one sink in
  20. Them not picking up his 5th doesn't mean they are ready to move on from him.
  21. You know Panthers have the worst LB unit in the league, this move would boost them into the 20s by just adding Lloyd. Jags maybe the old jags, they make mistakes or follow the new league and don't want to invest cap space into LBs. Either way they have a huge need/want at WR while having a surplus of LBs and that fits with what the Panthers have. No one wants to answer my questions, why wasn't Coker with BY and the whole WR crew at ATs bro retreat bonding?
  22. Is a great trade. Its works for everyone and increase each teams win % odds.
  23. The Jags had the second worst defense in the league last year behind us and they're ready to punt this guy. That kinda says it all. No thanks, I'll keep my young WR who has shown some promise especially considering we only have two proven WRs on the roster one of whom is trying to work his way back into the league after a two year health related absence.
