  1. Past hour
  2. The CBA changes to offseason rules regarding live contact, practice time limits, etc. over the last decade cannot be overstated on its impact for younger players in particular. The player's union is heavily weighted towards the interests of veteran players, who are concerned with staying healthy and on the field, compared to rookies and bubble players who need more development time and live-fire experience, but that has been bargained out over the years. Not saying that absolves Canales of this team's clear tendency to show up unprepared for the start of seasons but it the entire coaching staff gets less to work with to mitigate it (which should have meant adjusting by more reps in the preseason for the starters at least.)
  3. Truth is I have found the French to be much friendlier than Americans in big cities. They love children and randomly have offered directions and when having to take grandchildren on and off trains or having to climb stairs random people both male and female have come up offering to help carry the stroller up the stairs without being asked. Didn't happen at JFK on the way over. Frankly I feel much safer here than in most US cities. So you be safe.
  4. Who would be a company man when the millions/pounds are flowing to your account?? Just common sense.
  5. I see people with a million plays saying they get next to nothing off of them. The internet has in one way destroyed the gate keeping of the record industry and has allowed so many people to reach audiences, but we sort of needed that gatekeeping too. I want to say it is like college sports, the money makers subsidized a ton a great jazz artists and other fringe genres. Most musicians now are relegated to playing for their supper so to speak. Which, historically that is what it always was. I mean, you had patrons, you had the church and with paper and ink you had the start of publishing. Audio recording technology spawned a bubble in time where they could get obscenely wealthy off publishing royalties and to a degree, album sales. It is going back to the old way it seems. But now, there are fewer and fewer musicians who can play an instrument and get a track down live in one take. It’s all synthetic. Boo.
  6. If you look at what Thielen said about the currently benched Warrior in a Garden up in Minnesota, pretty clear he’s just a company guy with a mic in his face.
  7. There were reports during TC, the Panthers were limiting AT reps. Two ways to view- give the young guys growth OR AT has lost another step or two and looking more like a role player at 35 years old. His wife was dead set on the move. So then was AT and the kids Im sure too. Tmac took all the targets/snaps/reps and so far it looks like the right move. Panthers had 9-10 WRs to fit on 6-7 roster space. Panthers got good draft value from a guy that needed to retire at last seasons end. Dan/Brad have won 3 trades now....props
  8. He has yet to earn his job. I do t think he could have beat Andy out is a fair competition. Honestly not exaggerating. They could in no way have someone with NFL QB skills showing him up to the team.
  9. I have never understood how the labels negotiated the kinds of deals they did for the paltry rates that Spotify pays until it became obvious that they were getting the lion's share of the revenue and the actual artists couldn't do anything about it.
  10. I'll be honest, Dave went to such great coaching efforts to get us in position for the hail mary attempt I was actually sort of excited to see what Bryce had in him. I felt for sure Dave was going to flat out get that debate settled. I mean, how could he not. And then.......all that for a Tommy Tremble screen lol.
  11. “Honey come out! Let’s see more of Paris! It’s a beautiful night!” ”okay, let me just finish talking on the internet about Jordan carstens.”
  12. Since I started playing and watching football, one of the start things I learned was the OL affects the whole team. So I want to find and pay a fair market value in order to have the best unit possible.
  13. Frank and Canales have both told everyone Bryce can't throw the hail mary.
  14. lol, how do you lecture folks about not watching games and then not know about Bryce being taken out for a hail mary? and yeah, Cam got subbed out because the coach knew he didn't have the arm for it. That's what coaches do when you don't have the arm for it.
  15. I just seen the injury report- My brother from another Lewis is DNP... Gods....They could be without 4 starters, Motown is LP. He was wearing a huge elbow piece before the injury. They seem to already need Corbett......not to be a top backup but to start.....
  16. Lmao arguing for several hours on the internet then bailing because “actually I’m in France”
  17. When did he get benched for a Hail Mary pass? WTF are you talking about??!! Cam did for Heinicke after his shoulder injury. Do people on this board even watch the games?
  18. Morgan finished 2nd in tackles in 2005 so he was still effective when he played. I expected you to discount the rest of the defense. But your opinion about the other guys is very skewed to your agenda and not universally shared. But I am going to.let you guys argue among yourself as it is 1030 pm in France which is the only reason I am posting at all. And I will be here and in Barcelona the rest of the month. So save all the comment to me until then. I doubt I will be checking in much and in comparison these tired old arguments don't compare to the Louvre or Notre Dame which is where we went today. Got to get sleep to head to Nice tomorrow to watch my son in law compete for the US in the Mondial du pan international bread competition. I might be able to watch a game the next few Sundays. Au revoir.
  19. 3 things remember about that Monday night game 1. The packers fans were drunk as hell I’m Uptown before the game as most arrived around 11am. It wasn’t pretty 2. I got to meet Kevin Green by total accident at one of the events on Trade St by the Omni. He looked like he could have still suited up nice nice man always a long time favorite of mine RIP 3. Steve Smith’s broken leg. My PSLs were on 35 yard line Panthers side. I saw him crawl hand over hand on the ground by the near hash mark to the sideline instead of waiting for the trainers and a gurney. Toughest player I ever saw.
  20. When Smitty made the crazy PR, I thought we may had a slim shot, but just didn't have the firepower left. Our entire offense was Smitty down the stretch that year.
  21. No one was beating Seattle in Seattle that year. Certainly not whomever won between Chicago and Carolina. That game was a war zone we would have needed the redskins to pull off the upset.
