  1. Past hour
  2. Absolutely. The defense was by no means good but if we had a competent offense, we give them a shot too. Good teams don't need to limit an opponent to 13 or less to have a shot at winning. Sure, it helps... But still
  3. I was talking about someone else to play this year. If Dalton goes in early then he isn't making it to the trade deadline.
  4. Dalton loves it here and so does his family. He's said so before. He'll retire a Panther.
  5. That's fine. I'll hold him in my heart forever for that Raiders performance, that was vindicating as hell.
  6. If I were Dan I would consider drafting better players instead of future UFL rejects.
  7. You know... I was going to try and focus an all-22 review thread on some of the "major" moments during the game on offense but seeing as how it feels like a lot of the more vocal fans would prefer reaffirming their feelings I'm wondering if focusing on the defense instead would provide better value.
  8. This is definitely true. He's gone from one extreme to another in that now, he'll ignore a wide-open checkdown to throw into triple coverage.
  9. The offense on paper is good enough to do more than what we did on Sunday. Bryce, one again, struggles to get 150 yards a game. I think he had under 75 in the 3rd quarter. The Jaguars are not an elite defense. The offense should not have struggled as they did. The defense is not good but the offense did them no favors.
  10. AR is dogsh*t. Do not waste a pick on some else's trash. Let's draft our own garbage from now on.
  11. Ignored? Half the heat is on the defense and Evero. Deservedly so
  12. Im waiting a couple more weeks to see if Jones looks consistently good in Indy and making a very low end offer for AR because he will be on the outs. Is he going to suck? More than likely. But can he actually make the throws physically to open up the field? Yes. We've got suck right now and Dalton isn't going to change that. Who knows what could happen. But a full season of what we saw Sunday will cost DC the locker room.
  13. After the preseason I think all Dalton can do is be the tank commander. He seemed like he didn’t want to be here.
  14. Our offense is pretty much set. Slot in a rookie/vet that plays marginally better and we can win games. This is not the offense from last year. We are not as bad as we looked last game. Bryce’s inability to play consistently well and develop has really hurt us making our defense better because if he doesn’t solidify his starting position we will have to spend another first round pick not on the defense.
  15. Ride with Bryce unless there's a Rams game pt. 2, then you'll have to bench him again. I think everyone agrees a second benching means you're done here. Send Dalton out there for morale and improved play, sign someone off the street if needed. Draft a new QB next year or find a stop-gap QB in the offseason and try to focus on defense during the draft.
  16. Thats going to happen even if he plays bad. Stop worrying about what others say and worry about what the team does. Only they control what happens.
  17. Whatever Young's fate here will be will take place after this season.
  18. I have a feeling Bryce is gonna play well because it is the Cardinals and people will once again say that he is back to his end of season self.
  19. Then they will have to trade. No one around can carry half a seaon let alone more.
  20. This is the answer. It doesn't matter how bad the defense is. We can't score. We can't win.
  21. Yeah... One bad game for Bryce meaning he's not a pro and should be replaced, after a strong finish to last season is a little premature. But the clock has started for sure. If anything, we've seen that he needs to do something to have a better start to the season. That is not sustainable. Truth. The team ain't ready. The defense ain't ready. Derrick Brown didn't even look good. Just because you throw a lot of resources into a position group doesn't mean you've magically fixed it. And saying the team is using resources to make a specific QB look serviceable is insane to me. If they're using draft picks at a position, it means they didn't have good players at that position. If they're using free agency to get good players at a position, it means they didn't have good players at that position. It IS NOT to make the QB look serviceable. It's to make the TEAM look serviceable. Football isn't a sport where money necessarily fixes the problem either. I remember the Panthers spent a lot of money on the brother of another olineman, and that was a complete disaster. Paid a lot of money to a HC that was fired half way through his first season and no other team hired him, even though there has been unusually high HC turnover in the NFL. Throwing high draft picks at a position doesn't mean you fixed the problem either. Remember Kelvin Benjamin and Funchess with Cam? Mingo, Marshall... I think after week 4 we'll have a better idea of what we have. This is an extremely young and new group of receivers. The only receiver out there that had ever caught a pass from BY last Sunday was XL. And he wasn't exactly in prime form. I guess if you want to count J. Sanders and Tremble, then... Ok.
  22. Bryce sucks, but he has been throwing it downfield somewhat consistently over the last year. 12th in ADOT in Week 1, last year he was 5th/27th among QBs with at least 50% of their teams dropbacks (only Herbert, Love, Darnold, and Lamar Jackson were ahead). He was 2nd in Big Time Throw % too. Last week he had 4 20+ yard throws (0 completions) and 9 10-19 yards. Compare that to say, Jared Goff, who was in a similar spot last week as far as needing his team to rally and score - he only had 1 throw of 20+ yards and 6 10-19 yards. So Bryce is definitely a poor downfield thrower, but he has been a willing one, especially since returning from his benching.
  23. We are in the craper and will be until this team has more talent and better coaching. They have a long way to go.
  24. So, we're in the crapper for another 2-3 years minimum And that's only if things start improving in the choices this franchise makes Yeesh
  25. I'm not sure they will start BY again if he's benched. They weren't going to the last time. It may be Hooker time.
  26. We have a bad vet that doesn't have good availability. If they sit him then we will see him again just like last year. Rinse and repeat
