  1. Past hour
  2. I don't know, he looked good for Miami once they stopped forcing him to play DT (which was an insanely stupid thing to do). He also got stuck being doubled teamed an insane number of plays when playing DT. I understand Bain got the most attention, but Mesidor pretty much didn't get blocked 1-on-1 by anybody this season. I don't think there is any way he makes it out of the 1st (unless his medical has red flags) - too many teams picking in the bottom 12 spots want an edge that will be an impact player day 1. Mesidor has the technique and pass rush move variety to contribute day 1 (unlike some of the other edges that are freak athletes but more raw).
  3. We can still pick up somebody at the end of the season.
  4. Great no moves that matter I'm gonna pass on giving a sh*t the rest of the year this teams gonna get bodied by the lightning. Smh
  5. Nah, look at his stats (if you're not going to watch him play), he was a very good College player who exploded in a perfect scheme fit on a very talented team as a RS Senior. As a Canes fan would I take him in the first round? Absolutely not. Second round? Absolutely.
  6. What's the cap next year? Have to figure in that number as well. Regardless, the Canes left $40M on the table. And you can't take it with you into next season. I guess you have to ask yourself, which costs you more? A TDL deal in season, or a UFA deal after the season?
  7. I get it's disappointing, but this was definitely a seller's market and the only players traded away were players that would be depth pieces at best for us. A lot of the top teams (Avs, Stars, Lightning, Wild post Hughes) really only traded for depth pieces. Just a terrible trade deadline all around and I'm glad we didn't cave and sell the farm for somebody like Tro (even though I like him and he fits our team well).
  8. Yes the Icky thing really kills us this year with a 17.4 I think, million dollar hole, for nothing. His extension would likely have reduced his 2026 hit. But the extension was going to be massive. At the same time, the massive extension money is largely freed up now and can go elsewhere. There is just no way he should be in line for the same payday as pre injury. I say largely freed because maybe we can do a little hollowed out extension to give him a window to get back and stay with the team past this year. Snap count and/or other incentives for 2027. Something that leaves the door open for him to get a fresh contract that reflects his value moving into 2028. Whatever that proves to be. We’d have a lot of that money that was earmarked for his extension available to us starting next year.
  9. What a major letdown. This team will forever disappoint me
  10. The gift that keeps on giving. I mean the turd that keeps on stinking...
  11. Biggest thing that I can pull is that on every big deal the hurricanes have been in this season they have refused to make a trade unless KK was being taken back by the other team.
  12. This he will lace up one or two games in the playoffs when we need someone to keep the smurfs from getting knocked around
  13. Hmmm honestly probably would have done it just because with RBA its gonna be 2 years before hes on a top line were he should be
  14. He will probably be used sparingly to give guys off days until the playoffs. Can't see him playing in the playoffs for us unless we need a goon out there
  15. NY specifically wanted Nadeau for Trocheck plus picks
  16. We have seen this before lol. Lemeiux ring a bell? He will play one or two playoff games to be a goon thats about it
  17. David Pagnotta saying Hurricanes were out on Trocheck as of almost 10 minutes ago.
  18. Im fine moving Stankoven or Blake, Won't be happy if its Boom (don't think it is) or Nadeu
  19. Also just to add Deslauriers will likely get playing time on the forth line, he's someone that Rod wanted specifically.
  20. 20 minutes and.... ? I may have to rescind my season tickets if this is any indication of just how serious the Canes are about winning.
  21. Thats not at all whats being said on X RN but okay. And I'd give them Blake NP. but it will probably be Nadeu which i dont like lkl
  22. I don't mind losing the 1st rounder. I do mind losing one of our best young players or prospects
  23. Unless something crazy happens with NY and Trocheck the Canes are done. NY is ok waiting til the summer to trade Trocheck and their asking price is high. Think Nadeau plus another player plus a first and draft capital for them to take KK back. So think Nadeau, KK, Fensore First, 2nd and a couple late picks.
  24. I don't think there was any way the Preds were trading O'Reilly unless they received a king's ransom. So probably a similar trade requirement of multiple 1sts and somebody like Nadeau, Blake, or Boom
