The defense that accounts for 27% of the cap.... and we all know doesn't have an edge rusher.... right.
-
Bryce’s base level of play he brings to your average game is that of a backup. Backups can be good for like 1 or 2 throws. Scramble a lot because they don’t pull the trigger on plays and generate about 175 passing yards. so while Bryce might not lose it with horrific play…..the entire structure of the blueprint was for him to carry a much larger load than he is capable of. The bar for Bryce is supposed to be high…..his defenders want the bar rolling on the floor. Games against the Shoughs of the NFL just highlight how far we lower the bar for Bryce.
-
Dude your 1C crap is stupid..... Aho isn't a top 10 Center but he is absolutely a 1C..... somewhere around the Point/Larkin level 13th-17th best.... with the current amount of NHL teams most teams are lucky to have one C in the top 40..... 2C I agree with.... 100% preferably a guy with grit and playmaking ability. There absolutely isn't anyone close to being available better than Aho....

Reading is fundamental. I said some games are rigged to make the playoffs more exciting. You can deny that they aren't rigged mostly because you don't agree with anything I post. -
Because we gave up our future for him, yet everything around him has to be perfect in order for him to have a decent game since he is limited in what he can do which handicaps our coaches and entire team. Stupid question.

imo bryce doesnt get the blame for the L against the Saints. The L went to the defense knowing dang well not to hit a sliding qb. The defense gave so many free yards to them and gave them first downs. Bryce played well enough to win us the game.
-
This while he didn't single handily LOSE the game on any one play..... He was a first overall pick, one we paid a fortune for..... the bar for him is a 10 foot dunk not a 5"8 children's rim. 32 for 49 for 287 with 1 td and 1 int in two games vs the worst team in the conference, two critically important games that we would be 9-5 and competing for the #2 if he had led us to victory.... Ive given him props for the TD to tet.... it was the best pass ive ever seen him make..... But putting up these kind of numbers isn't up to par. Defenses stack the box and dare him to throw.... and he still puts up medicore at best numbers. To win with Bryce young the entire rest of the team has to be absolutely perfect to make up for his deficiencies.... so while he didn't "lose" this game for us..... HE DEFFINATLY DIDNT GO WIN IT FOR US. (Which is the REALISTIC EXPECTATION)

His O is just built on taking repeated shots and that’s not BY’s game. It was always a round peg and square hole…. But I also agree with your post. I hate OC HCs. Especially green ones. I never liked anything about the setup. He should have had a real OC. Focused on learning to be a HC.
-
I get that. He's also trying to do HC and OC this year which I think is just too much for him. I think it's hard to call plays from the sidelines. That view from up top helps them see what a defense is doing better. A few HCs can do it because they have the QBs and experience to pull it off. DC has neither. I think DC may have spread himself too thin and Bryce isn't the QB to be able to pull of his end of it either. How much they compliment each other in creating this offensive bleh, yet to be determined. Doesn't really matter because it's still awful.
-
You made the claim that people are blaming him but you are asking me for something specific? how drunk are you? Bryce had 165 yards, 62% completions, some bad misses, a bad sack and 15 completions total. Yes he had about 3 good plays but overall it was a "meh" game.
-
Considering he's already on the ground, not difficult at all.

that literally makes no sense, if you think the games are predetermined then that has absolutely nothing to do with who I like or dislike playing qb for my favorite nfl team. If I thought the games were decided beforehand there is no fuging way I am watching 18 weeks plus playoffs of this. do better -
Because we spent a king's ransom for him to be "the guy". It's like everybody else has to play perfect for Bryce to even have a chance to win. Defense isn't going to get 3+ turnovers every damn game. We STILL held an NFL team to 20 points (league average is 23.1) and only put up 17 points ourselves. Swap QB's yesterday and we win. But again, nobody is solely blaming Bryce for the loss yesterday.
-
I'm still waiting on something specific from you. Something more than "he played meh". The only thing I ever get from you is cursing a lot and calling me an idiot. I used to resort to personal insults and cursing as well but then I grew up.
-
lol you started the thread dude and you literally have not provided any examples of what you are referring to as "blaming" bryce for the loss
-
We know Canales O averaged 225 per game his one year calling plays without Bryce…..and his QB had more 300+ yards game than Bryce has 200+ yard games that season.
-
Yeah, I'm with you on the BY talking. Guess I had a relapse lol. I'm done with it now though.
-
Exactly. Both teams were fairly even across the board, they literally just won the QB battle. Shough kept drives alive with insanely accurate passes in tight windows.
-
Shough made similar passes yesterday (behind the receiver) and they were all caught even when contested (to be honest though, at least one of them was luck) I will agree though, I wish it had been just a little more in front of him. But I also wish they would have kicked a FG instead of going for the 4th down. I also wish there wasn't an illegal formation call on the 50 yard KO return. I wish the defense hadn't commited 81 yards worht of penalties giving them 6 first downs in the process. I wish Ickey hadn't had a bad day, I wish Evero didn't continue to call blitzes leaving the middle of the field open for receptions. The point there are so many things to talk about concerning blame and yet Bryce continues to be brought up.

The same reason you watch when you can't stand our QB. -
Offenses this year are averaging around 22 per game. We scored 17. Defenses are averaging around 20. Exactly what we gave up. We didn't score enough points. Low scoring games with passing offense under 200 yards seems to be one thing we do fairly consistently. How much of that is DC or Bryce, who can really say. But it's way too common a thing to make me think it's just one or the other.
-
Shough did just that on the slant to Olave. Horn had sold out for the pick and if that ball was anywhere near behind him, it's probably a turnover. Instead, we are here.
-
@cranky bro, us BY haters have already given him props and most of us have not called his game a reason for the loss. Fishing too hard my frend...... We mainly call the game how it happens, shocking I know........... Even in the ultra toxic GameDay thread, not much of "BY is reason for the LOSS!!!!!! CUTT his ARSSE RIGHHT MEOW!!!!!!!" psycho posting. Plus I nearly retired from BY talking, I will let the other "haters" post the 489th same post against the BY stans.... Excuse me...

so why watch if you firmly believe that? -
Since we're playing this game, missing an easy TD to Tet if he just put it in front of him. Instead he threw it behind him allowing the defender to catch up and break up the pass (he made an incredible play, but was only possible because Young threw a bad ball). Make that throw and we win. You would expect a 3rd year "franchise" 1st overall pick QB to make that play, because Shough damn sure would have.
