I don't know, man. I kinda liked seeing Martinook commit homicide early in the game. And I liked watching Carrier do it towards the end of the game just as much.

Also, I know we have all poo in Miller the entire year. But him and the D have locked down for most of these first 2 games. I think he has played well on D so far

I agree, I will say that we do need that gear to slow the momentum at times. 2-3 they were playing at our speed, we needed to grind with big hits, etc. to slow it down. Also fuging better puck possession would help.

I have no problem going for monster checks. My problem is when I see 3 guys running to give a monster check on the boards and leaving the middle wide open.

They were a different team after they ran out of gas. They outplayed us so much in the 3rd period I thought we’d lose in regulation.

I like the physical play but after coming out strong in 2 games and then fading, it makes me wonder. Should we be playing our game more than finishing every check with a monster hit.

If the game had of gone the way season games did it would have been a very high scoring game. Like you said 7-6 goals for each team. Both goalies got very lucky.

I think this early attrition is a good thing, usually they just breeze through the 1st round, but this has been 2 battles

Senators gave it their all. I would not be surprised if they are drained for game 3 and 4. We have felt this as well with long overtime games against the Panthers and Rangers. Games 3 and 4 the team looked gassed.

As much as we all criticize Freddie, he made some really big saves in OT and 2OT. I'll forgive him for his howler of a goal he allowed on goal #2
