  1. Past hour
  2. I've been mocking drafts assuming we'd answer the edge question via free agency today made this mock even easier, love this top to bottom
  3. Ian Rapoport The Titans aren’t done, they’ve agreed to terms with CB Alontae Taylor, as the former #Saints star moves on. He gets a 3-year deal worth $60M with $42M fully guaranteed in a deal done by Trevon Smith of @AthletesFirst.
  4. TE Kolar to Chargers. This once deep TE FA pool is drying up fast.
  5. Morgan built enough of a roster to get us to the playoffs after going 2-15 in 2023. That is impressive no matter how we limped into the postseason, I'd probably hold off on proclaiming Morgan can't build a roster yet.
  6. yes you can question 1000s of veritables. I mean you can punch someone with a bare fist and then fit a 5 Lb composite glove and there's a different result. Plus the focus is on the person getting hit, but the person giving the hit can get injuries/concussed too. (Same would go for the hand) I know the NFL lowered the league concussions greatly by just limting practices and then KOs aka the old school wedge. I know you'll agree with just strengthening neck muscles would reduce them too, hell that maybe the best solution. Make all teams train neck muscles...... Panthers better have a safr helmet cap waiting for Jalen Phillips.....
  7. contracts will always go up just because the cap goes up. pass rush, QB, LT are the premium positions and they'll always get record setting contracts now is this is the pass rusher to set that? eesh. i mean this is definitely the panthers top 2 or 3 need but man i dunno about this.
  8. It may be a pipe dream but I want to check him out too. He checks all the boxes. Except for the I am not a bonehead box. But that may be something that could be drilled out.
  9. The interview im referencing is his combine interview. He talks in depth about his role. Its really interesting and enlightening to how things work behind the scenes.
  10. Mike Garafolo The Titans have agreed to terms with CB Cor’Dale Flott on a three-year, $45 million deal with $32 million fully guaranteed. Another #Giants free agent follows his former HC Brian Daboll, now Tennessee’s OC, in a deal negotiated by @DavidMulugheta
  11. Morgan is brain damaged.. Between he and Tepper we have to hope for dumb luck for this team to ever be good I think.
  12. True, but we have our starters, so they fill out the depth chart. I guess we could upgrade nickle.
  13. Which is all I was saying. I feel sure he vouched for him, going off of what he said in the video. One of those blueprint videos I think.
  14. Yeahhhhh...we definitely overpaid...Eagles were offering him 20 mil a year...knew we would have to overpay for talent but this sorta confirms what I believe going into this offseason... I think this is a do or die season for Canales/Evero/maybe Morgan He's definitely Evero's type of OLB that can set the edge though. And he can pass rush and isn't a one-trick pony. I think we overpay Devin Lloyd next now
  15. I'm sure he gave them insights into why the Chiefs drafted him and what he was like while Tillis was there. It doesn't mean he told Dan to sign him.
  16. calling these guys depth is being generous
  17. Lloyd deal should be coming now that the market is set
  18. I’m sure he’ll settle in and his numbers will be better. I’m just cynical with his injury history and his sack numbers aren’t great. Given our cap and needs, I would have preferred giving the money to Leo Chenal and a veteran pass rusher (Bradley Chubb/Bosa) to address both positions of need.
  19. So far we have signed our impact Edge guy and re-upped with two depth CBs.
  20. largest contract in panther history.......Dan you are making this difficult to defend you.....I was no fan but burns didn't have ACL, arch, core, ankles and concussions history and you didn't want to sign him.......ugh.
  21. He also said he knew Wharton from KC and extolled his virtues. Seems pretty reasonable to think he would have told his coworkers his impressions, even without making the final call.
  22. so just glancing at this which is the closest thing I've found to an actual study https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11511751/ it seems like they're doing their best to recreate impacts in a controlled environment a football player receives, then designing helmets that dissipate the force from those impacts. Just off the top of my head the main questions I would ask are 1. how accurate are the lab conditions to real life and 2. how do you account for those differences so it's obviously honorable and worthy research I just don't know how meaningful it is to the actual game. Especially when players are coached to fake different injuries (guy gets up from an obvious concussion and all his team mates are telling him to rub his shoulder) or your dumbass running back will just throw the blue tent open and drag your obtunded qb back onto the field
  23. This one worries me. Good talent. Great motor. But not too impressive stats and a plethora of injuries and the best ability is availability and they just threw a ton of money at him a lot guaranteed. If he plays 14 plus games each year then great but if he gets a major injury... We have $55 mill tied up in 2 injury prone defensive players
  24. Hey, skip CB too, both Evans and Rochell are re-signing, which means we have 8 corners under contract.
