Do you consider Icky a better OT than Moton? I don’t think anyone does. Our roster is not depleted everywhere but OL. Our WR room has nice young pieces. Our RB room is sufficient for years. Our interior DL is in nice shape and now we have promising young EDGE players. We’re certainly operating like QB is set as well. The only thing I’ll concede is the timing doesn’t make great sense unless there are some moves in the pipeline that require current cap space.

Both mine are shot, they barely move the first couple hours of the day and my right knee will still pop and give out at least twice a day. My right knee got twisted and partially dislocated... so oh well, ish happens

This seems like the type of thread that receipts will be kept lol but this is a business and the business move would’ve been to wait and see what this season looks like for him. Sucks for him, but that process is likely the best for the franchise IMO. I dunno. I like thielen as a person and a player and he's been our most reliable option for 2 years. Buuuuuuuut.... We have drafted xl, tmac and horn. We lucked into Coker. We have a couple udfa that could help us We aren't going anywhere this year. Thielen is probably gone after this year. It's a surprisingly difficult choice but I say trade him for what you can get. Let's see what the young pups can do and maybe Renfrow makes the loss easier. If Bryce is dependent on a guy that won't even be here next year then he isn't him. Thielen was at most a 3, maybe a 4 depending on Coker. Let's send him to greener pastures. We still have tmac, Coker, xl, horn, probably moore and renfrow, maybe one of udfa, and 3 young te. Let's keep the youth movement going and see who we have

It can go that way too. Mine aren't so great either. Both of my MCLs are gone and both should probably be scoped to clean up some floating cartilage issues. I was told by a sports medicine doctor a decade ago that I'll probably have to have at least one knee replacement by the time I'm 50. I'm 43 now but honestly they're holding up better than I expected. The first hour or so of the day sucks but once I get limbered up I'm alright. Either that or I'm just used to it. LOL

He's a top 5/6 RT in the league. Base it on stats, advanced metrics..etc He's top 5 for most I would think.

I don't really think that's the trade though. That money can be spent on anything. We have to decide to pay Icky. We could have let Moton walk next summer and draft his replacement. Icky could slide over and play right side maybe. There was flexibility. Now we have a gajillion dollars in our offensive line, on a roster that's depleted basically everywhere else. And we're depending on a guy past 30 to stay healthy for 2 years so it's worth it? It just doesn't seem like a good move from a risk management perspective.

To be fair, you can't do any worse than 32nd out of 32 since Tepper bought the team. You or me could've been calling the shots and we couldn't have done any worse than last.

While basically not practicing. These things usually continue progressing as long as the guy keeps playing. Do you really think grappling with other jumbo super athletes for 60 minutes once a week is improving chronic knee issues? Let's just be realistic here. He will get some improvement with his knees once he stops playing and sheds 75 pounds. As long as he keeps playing and carrying 300+ pounds they're gonna keep getting worse. That's just the reality of life for a biological creature.

Dude is an elite level RT. He was 3rd in 3rd down pressure rate allowed and top 10 in pretty much every single other stat including advanced ones among RT's for last season.

Vikings seem like a perfect fit honestly. I'm sure he wouldn't mind going back. He's spent his whole life there.
