  1. Past hour
  2. Johnson may not last very long with all the hits he taking
  3. UNC's offense actually looks functional with Gio Lopez out of the way. Are those two supposed top 10 pick DLs playing today for Clemson? If they are they're complete frauds. If that's not DPI then WTF is? That announcer is high. Coverage is really easy if you can just ride a receiver out of bounds with the ball in the air. Settling for three there is not the right decision. Gotta go on 4th and 1 inside the 20 when your D is trash.
  4. Jordan Shipp is a player. Sucks he's stuck on this team.
  5. Jordan is gonna have a talk with the defense.
  6. I mean that's a huge turn off.. but a swift kick in the ass or a vet coaching him up I think is a much easier solution than fixing whatever is going on with Bryce.
  7. Oh, Richardson has a MUCH higher talent ceiling. That's for sure and was always obvious. I was out on Richardson the minute he asked to come out of the game because he was tired and I think the Colts were too. They probably should've just traded him for whatever they could've gotten at that point.
  8. I don’t even think Andy is all that accurate, it’s just the arm strength that jumps off the screen. His regular throws have zip and get to the target in a hurry. Wether our guy or their guy catches it is a toss up but it gets there quick.
  9. BB wasn’t going to be successful immediately regardless but some of the choices his leadership team has made are real head scratchers. Finally gonna see Max today with Gio being the worst QB in the nation so far. I can’t imagine this Belichick thing lasts more than a few years.
  10. I don't disagree, but the way today's game is coached and ref'd DBs are at a huge disadvantage. To me that puts the difference between being elite and being good enough to survive in the league as marginal. Look at Sauce Gardner, he's completely crippled by the rules, which is why he leads the league in penalties. Chris Gamble was a stud for us. He would never see the field today as he'd be a 5 yard and automatic first down liability on every play.
  11. Basically Bill Belichick is a really shitty GM. He was a shitty GM in the NFL and he's being a shitty GM in college. As soon as good aging vets were no longer willing to come play for a discount to chase a ring after they chased Brady off all the years of poor drafting got exposed and they targeted and paid a bunch of guys who just aren't power conference caliber starting players. We brought in a bunch of guys to start that other power conference teams were looking at as depth pieces.
  12. Yeah, that's why I say KJ Jefferson. Similar profile and success earlyish. NFL Draft radar guy and then it drops off precipitously to him being a UDFA in this past draft.
  13. To be fair I don't think the book is closed on Anthony Richardson. I probably would rather have him today than Bryce because of upside. He is still extremely young. Decision making and completion percentage can be improved holding a clipboard. Bryce isn't growing 7 inches getting half a second faster or growing a rocket arm tomorrow. I always say give me the tools you can't teach and let coaching figure out what to do with the rest. Now him stay healthy is a different can of worms.. but I don't think he's unsalvageable.
  14. Yeah, he's a tough evaluation. He obviously has all the physical tools but is he an NFL QB? So much of the evaluation is going to come down to the interview process and that's the part of the process that we have no insight into beyond the rumor mill. For every Josh Allen there's probably a dozen Anthony Richardsons and you have to use that interview process to figure out who's who. Now Sellers is a better passer at this stage than either of those guys were, but you get what I'm saying
  15. I would hate to be getting the current product, is what I will say. Is he a dude or is he KJ Jefferson?
  16. I'm on the fence about Sellers. I wish SCar had a better OL to give him more of a chance but I don't know. I'm not out on him but I'm definitely not sold either. I expect him to enter the draft next year because someone will take a chance on his talent in the 1st but I'd honestly prefer he play another year of college and hit the portal and find a better situation. Or for SCar to hit the portal and build an OL.
  17. Today
  18. I don't think there is a set rule about when to start a young QB. Some are ready early, some need some time to learn and some just never get there. I keep beating this horse to death but I firmly am in the camp that it isn't how we are or aren't developing anyone, it's that we don't have any fuging clue how to pick guys that CAN develop in the first place.
  19. Mac Jones is piling up evidence of both Shanahan making QB's look better than they actually are and also that Purdy contract was probably ultimately unnecessary.
  20. I think we need to stop worrying so much about finding another immediate starter. Whoever we draft we need to do this the right way. 1st year, clipboard unless an injury dictates otherwise. We've seen time and time again how much better these guys do just having a year to get acclimated to the NFL game and climate. My thought for next year. Find a FA QB to run DC'S system because I think you have to give him year 3 for any possible future hires to even remotely consider Carolina. Then if DC shows serious improvement as a HC, let him draft a QB that meets his criteria, use the bridge while his carries the clipboard, and in the meantime, spend some capitol on defense, and get rolling. If DC doesnt work in year 3, show him and Morgan the door, clean the whole damn house out of rats, and build this place the right way from the top, starting by locking Dave and Nicole in a luxury resort in Luxembourg, the French Riviera, or in some Buddhist monastery. Just keep them away from daily operations and leave me the checkbook.
