I know Sims can be dickish too. Can't say I've watched much Tua over the years, but I have seen the highlights of him repeatedly getting blasted. Lady Cowboy Fan has too. She can't believe he's still playing. My biggest take on him (same as hers) is that he should probably get out before he winds up a vegetable.

What good is taking a position if you can't logically support it outside of attacking me? Likewise, given that I've said numerous times I also want to move on from Bryce, why is it so important that you keep arguing with me? It seems to be strictly because my take isn't as negative as yours, but if we're reaching the same answer, why do you care this much? Am I just living that rent free in your head? Oy

If you watched it, Simms was the real reaper. Tore him up. I saw what I posted yesterday and apparently there was another 5 minutes of discussion on Tua and how the Dolphins fuged up drafting him ahead of Herbert and whoever else (it was Love) and then fuged up again giving him the money. One thing I remember is Miami has to hide him in the big games. Another is Miami drafted the Alabama offense, more so than the player. Again, everything that was said IMO just put Bryce’s name in there and it is very much like what people here have been saying for three years now. Crazy. Watched that today. I remember people putting Tua as Bryce’s comp, in a positive light. You know, when they weren’t claiming he was Drew Brees the 2nd. I never thought anything of Tua either. And Bryce is smaller. Yay.

He's not entirely wrong. There were indeed people arguing that position. Wouldn't say they were the majority though, just a couple of the usual suspects. I didn't really follow the draft pick discussion so I can't speak to that. Ditto people being told they're bad for disagreeing (though of late I've been a target of that from the other side) As far as the wins, I don't know of anyone saying they wish we'd lost (although the "we should have tanked" contingent does tend to show up every December). What I have seen though are some folks who, even after a win, only want to talk about Bryce being bad. Sorry, but that's kinda silly. Heaven knows I wanted Matt Rhule gone but it still felt good when we won (not that it happened a whole lot, but hey...)

You do, the guy who doesn’t appear to grasp projection. as the entire board knows, I do in fact, take positions. The position here I have taken is that Bryce Young is a weak bottom tier starting QB, without NFL starting QB tools, that we must move on from.

The OP for one. Asserting that people blamed Bryce for the loss in the title of the thread. That was not the prevailing sentiment at the time this thread was created. Very much a minority thing, I don’t remember but maybe one person if that, putting it on Bryce as the main reason. Troll thread. Did a good job too. Look at the pages. Someone counting up the draft picks as 10 on offense and 10 on defense or whatever the number was, today or yesterday - of which the offensive ones were heavily 1s and 2s and the defensive picks were heavily day 3 and declaring that proof that the offense wasn’t favored like people claim. The obvious neglect we watched for two years. I spent time refuting that bullshit because someone needed to. People saying we are bad horrible people and hate poor lil Bryce for no reason, as if it is a personal thing. Constantly. Along the same lines is people saying we non Bryce fans would rather lose than have him play well and the team wins. That we are mad when the team wins Point illustrated.

If they did I didn't see it. But at the end of the day this team is not going to get more eyes on the product on the field getting swept by the Saints with the division and playoffs on the line. As far as people forming their own opinions and conclusions. I can and will debate in good faith with anyone that is willing to listen and engage and I will try to give someone the benefit of the doubt. But when someone assigns designations onto others such as not being legitimate fans or being the problem holding the franchise back because they aren't singing the company tune to their liking 24/7 that is where I will push back because this franchise is what it is. But it is not a perennial contender where people can draw a line in the sand and tell people they aren't real fans. But that's what I've seen recently and given what's transpired it's even more egregious because the fans want a winner. But if the Panthers can't or won't step up and take it that is on them. The fans are not to blame for it.

I remember liking Blackburn when he was here but haven't followed him since. Ben Kotwika is a longtime, decently respected ST coach if I'm thinking of the right guy.
