  1. Past hour
  2. Yeah, his OSU season went down as a redshirt year so he had another year of eligibility remaining.
  3. This news is a GIANT glowing neon warning sign for the Panthers front office. Unfortunately I have legitimate and justified doubts they will heed said warning. Everything they have done to this point has been about doubling tripling and quadrupling down.
  4. We would just be a substantially less talented Bengals. It's fun to dream but you would probably be looking at this roster being the at peak of its greatness right now, and it's easily a bottom 5 roster in the history of the franchise. I would imagine the draft capital we would have to give up would put us in a 3-5 year hole almost immediately. Plus, if I were Burrow, I would immediately retire if the idea of being traded here was on the table.
  5. Yeah, Ewers made a really dumb decision. He's a posterchild of a guy who needs to cash NIL checks until he runs out of eligibility. He's a very limited NFL QB prospect but he's still a pretty good college QB. If you're a mid to late round NFL QB prospect I guarantee you there's more money for you in the portal than there is in the NFL.
  6. Oh Im just predicting the narratives after the games are over.
  7. The prospect of being traded from the Bengals to the Panthers would probably have Burrow dreaming of sandy beaches and umbrella drinks.
  8. Ewers also has very little NFL ability at all. He's likely even less suited to the NFL than the absolutely atrocious Dillon Gabriel.
  9. Barring injury or Canales sacrificing him after an Old Testament style hallucination Bryce is going to start 16 games this year. to say nothing of his average performance, in at least four games (jags, first saints, 49ers, patriots) Bryce played so badly you didn’t have a chance to win at all. I’d throw the cardinals game in there too but I don’t want to rehash that argument. 25% of his starts you don’t stand a fuging chance. There isn’t another position on the team where someone could perform that badly and still have a job. Last season it was the same even though he was benched for a third of it. First saints, chargers, <bryce “renaissance”> cowboys, second Bucs. He plays so poorly you don’t have a chance. lets not even mention his rookie season. How many games a year is it accetable for a team to not have a chance heading in because of qb play?
  10. Probably true but outside of pass rusher and MLB, I think the teams foundation is in a good spot. Especially looking at our division going forward.
  11. He's also hurt for a significant portion of every season.
  12. Yeah, I think Murray has always been an extremely talented athlete who just doesn't love ball. To be a good starting QB over the long haul in the NFL you pretty much have to obsessively love ball. But there will be a market for him. Every coach thinks he's the guy who's going to get through to these types of players but it almost never pans out. You can't coach want to anymore than you can coach talent.
  13. It's hard to know how much of that is accurate or still true. One would hope they wouldn't sign him to that mega deal if it were still really bad, but dumber things have happened before. I think you will see what the league's opinion is when he is on the block and/or released. Will he get Justin Fields 1.0 treatment or will he have a lot of suitors lined up to talk?
  14. I understand your logic but can't stop a man from dreaming
  15. Week 16 rookie QB making his 1st start. I'd expect him to be. However, if he performs as well as or better than Bryce, then it's DC's gameplay to minimize throwing opportunities, etc etc
  16. But he has severe issues with getting prepped from reports Ive heard. He relies more on athletic ability than actually watching and studying film. He's not prepared well on game days, so it's been said, and a lot of times it looks that way.
  17. I expect Ewers to extend the list of starting QB's that are worse than Bryce. I don't like that at all. It's just more ammo for the Forever Brycers inside our franchise.
  18. The Refs Union is actually the most powerful in the NFL sphere. Until there is a little more accountability from that side of the aisle, this type of thing will get worse.
  19. Yeah, I'm not expecting improvements for them from benching Tua for Temu Tua. I understand why they want to get a look at the rookie but honestly I'd play Wilson and see what my offense could look like with a guy with high level NFL tools even if it's just a few glimpses in an overall pile of poo.
  20. It is a dumb answer. You don't have to be Cam Newton to run a QB sneak and most QBs are looking for a gap. Drew Brees, Russell Wilson, and Kyler Murray are smaller QBs and they have zero issues running a QB sneak.
  21. I think Shaq was also one of the last few remnants from the Rivera locker room culture. TBH, he didn't fit for that reason alone. We have wanted to stamp out that stuff almost since day one.
