AB was downplaying the severity of his injury because he wanted to meet his incentive goals, got upset because he was playing through it but not getting the ball. It’s a shame that everyone jumped to “he’s a headcase”. I don’t think this was some crazy CTE outburst at all, just dude selfishly expecting special treatment for personal gain while his coach is just trying to win.

I’ve seen enough to believe that with pass protection Cam’s still got franchise QB play in him. And Cam’s talent, even now past his prime, brings an x-factor that is too rare to not take advantage of while we still can. I can’t say the same about Sam and PJ. Until we get some pass protection no QB will do well here. It’s the most important aspect of the rebuild and gambling a high pick on a rookie QB right now is putting the wagon before the horse. Whoever we put behind center is doomed unless the line is fixed first.

I doubt that. Rhule found success in year 3 at Baylor and Temple and I’m sure that’s what Tepper’s been banking on. Pressure’s mounting though.

Talking moreso how it reflects on Cam. Like that graphic they showed last week of our QBs W/L records. Without context it looks like Cam is definitely the worst of the bunch. The no wins in last 12 starts stat comes up a lot outside this fanbase, if Cam has any intention on continuing in the league he's not doing himself any favors hitching himself to this sinking ship right now.

Some have pointed it out that it seems like Rhule's protecting Darnold's record by letting Cam start games in this circus. I wonder if anyone from Cam's camp spoke up about it.

This is the way. Protect Cam and a chance for Darnold to up his trade appeal.

Was dumb then too just necessary with Cam new to the offense. This is completely unnecessary. I'd get maybe bringing Cam in for short sneaks but they're abitrarily switching them and preventing any momentum.
