I noticed this too. A lot of moments when he could have brought pressure or boxed out and he either just watches the shot go up or starts going to the other side of the court early. On offense he just sits under the basket and waits if he's not setting a pick. There were a couple of times when teammates were getting smothered in the paint and trying to dump it off to him but he doesn't try to get open. When he's engaged he's a force to deal with. I don't know how often he'll be in lineups with LaMelo but the higher tempo would do him a lot of good.

Sound ridiculous calling a couple of preseason drives with the backups "playing in the NFL".

I'm optimistic that he may be a better defensive mind than Rivera after that argument with Snow. I can't imagine Ron getting into it with other coaches over the gameplan or general philosophy. Bold for a secondary coach to put his neck out there like that unless he's sure of what he's talking about. But yeah, it's too early to call. So far he's just a good Locker Room Dad.

Sorry to be a downer but I think we're going to be awful in some key area that prolongs the rebuild all over again, and we'll be lucky if it's just one. I don't believe in this organizations ability to find the franchise HC and QB at the same time and we'll need more than that if they keep trading away everyone.

Seems pretty clear to me that him and Robbie forced their hands on these trades. They've been entertaining moving both but I don't think they settle for less than astronomical for CMC unless he checked out on them. And the Robbie deal happened at lightspeed after he had his fit.

Idk if I could have stomached the Cam/Luke/Olsen exodus without CMC here. Thanks for keeping this franchise on life support and doing it with class. Wish him the best.
