The longer PJ starts the less likely we'll see Baker and ever Sam again. That 4th round pick is enough incentive to not play Baker again.

Good on Cliff sticking by the kid but I'm not optimistic about Bouknight. So far he's Monk but less explosive. He could really use more reps in Greensboro to find a groove. Real early to call Mark Williams but he doesn't show much defensive presence in the paint yet and that's supposed to be his bag... Need Kai to just eat and live in the weight room.

The way the team moves forward from this game will decide it for me.

Put a fork in Baker and Sam, I've seen enough of them and it didn't get as good as this. PJ Walker is our QB until further notice. If he can't get it done then we're back to where we were anyway.

I’m glad Wilks isn’t as reactionary as this board and kept PJ out there. Gotta let him sink or swim. Bench him too quick and we run the risk of doing it every week with someone else.

He had some magical games last season. Lack of defense really holds him back because he’s a crazy scorer when he’s hot.

Oubre's extra important with LaMelo and Terry out. Him and Gordon are our top outside shooters, but he's a high volume shooter. When he's in rhythm he's a superstar but when he's cold he's hard to watch.

I noticed this too. A lot of moments when he could have brought pressure or boxed out and he either just watches the shot go up or starts going to the other side of the court early. On offense he just sits under the basket and waits if he's not setting a pick. There were a couple of times when teammates were getting smothered in the paint and trying to dump it off to him but he doesn't try to get open. When he's engaged he's a force to deal with. I don't know how often he'll be in lineups with LaMelo but the higher tempo would do him a lot of good.

Sound ridiculous calling a couple of preseason drives with the backups "playing in the NFL".
