Would make sense. They've been selling the white helmet for a couple of years now. Same as the black helmet. It was for sell for a year+...then announced as a new uniform combo. Silver is gone, white & black are in. Silver and the OG logo become our throwback uniform.

I mean...uniforms?

Rather have Pratt than Jaire. Pratt would help solidify the LB group in a big way IMO.
-
One year incentive heavy deal to not impact the future, to come home and try to cash in next year, why not? Don't offer anything crazy, but at least throw in an offer. He's Horn insurance, Horn is Jaire insurance, if they're both on the field we're thrilled. If the season isn't going well, trade him to a contender mid-year and get a draft pick for our troubles.

Blueprint, Episode 1: Dropping today at 6pm
PanthersNCSU replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Dan had to of wanted the Rams 2025 1st, filler this year, 2026 1st and 2nd? More? I don't know if #26 in 2025 and probably another pick in 25-28 range in 2026 gets it done. -
Taking into account contracts, I'm right there with you. Would you rather have Bryce have 10-12 million, or Tua at 50? Easy answer. Just in general, I do think Bryce is capable of being a Top 10 QB after what he showed to end the season. He just needs to come out and take that next step this year before I think anyone fully buys in.
-
No argument with 20, which is surely heavily slanted based on the end of last season. He needs to climb to a no doubt Top 10-15 this year or draft conversations are going to get interesting.

This is one of the biggest issues, and speaks to Evero in general. He's so reluctant or outright unwilling to change his scheme and it's probably his downfall as a coach now and in the future. At the end of the day, put your best guy on their best guy. If they win, so be it. But you can't look back and say damn, what could we have done differently?

If Bryce plays like 2nd half Bryce from last year, 8 wins or so I'd think. Which, we could've been a 6 or 7 win team last year if we got that Bryce all year long. The defense is improved and better by default which I think is worth a win or two. We'll need some luck on our side for anything better (welp), but if this is another 4-6 win season, I'll be depressed.

ESPN's Top 10 Impact Rookies(non-1st Round)
PanthersNCSU replied to kungfoodude's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm excited for Scourton. Even if the sack numbers aren't there right away, he'll contribute and has a certain floor IMO. Would be thrilled if he can turn into a Charles Johnson-type contributor one day. Never a star (though, please do), but reliable and damn good at what he does.- 30 replies

Panthers start making cuts to roster
PanthersNCSU replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Corbett is on a one year deal, which is twice as long as he'll be healthy based off of his career. I like Mays, a lot. But he was thrown into center because of the above. Christensen I guess is your 3rd? Another one year deal, who's maybe our LT, maybe our LG, etc. depending on injuries. -

Don't like letting Raym go. For an UFA, I thought he was a nice depth piece with how bare we are at Center. -

I’m ready to fall in love with the Carolina Panthers again

I've gone back to buying Panthers merch for the first time in a couple of years. Have some optimism for the first time since we drafted Bryce, which quickly met it's downfall. Don't fug this up, Panthers. -
If Bryce plays well, I think we're a 8-9 win team. I expect the Saints will suck, Atlanta will be their typical selves and around 6-8 wins, and Tampa is on top until proven otherwise. I *could* see Tampa take a step back after a couple years of losing their offensive braintrust and Todd Bowles makes some dumb decisions. We're likely still a year away without some luck, but I feel like we're finally trending in the right direction.

REPORT: Panthers attempting to move up in the 2nd round
PanthersNCSU replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Will Johnson, Mike Green (eh), Nick Emmanwori, Donvoan EZ, Shavon Revel, Carson Schwesinger Feel like any of those guys could/should be targets. I'm partial to any of the guys with a hard to pronounce name. -
This is the one pick that I might be most against. I've cooled on Jalon Walker after listening to too many podcasts and have my hopes up for Graham now, but Stewart at 8, or even in the teens after a trade down, and I'm not thrilled.
-
I do think there's some truth to this. If there's not a big gap between guys you have ranked 8th to 80th, why not add "something". Granted, I don't want to add crap for the sake of adding crap, but might be the FO's MO here in a bad draft and just needing to build depth and hopefully get lucky on a starter or two. Also why I've gone more towards position value be damned to a certain extent. If Warren is a blue chip guy for instance...I'd rather take the blue chip guy at TE than a DE that some teams think is a 1st rounder, others think is a 2nd rounder, etc. It's a weird draft, and I don't think a lot of the age old parameters necessarily work when looking at it.

This is my biggest concern. Georgia guys can take a year or two to start realizing their potential in the NFL it seems like. Add in Evero essentially coaching for his job, and I'm hesitant on the impact any rookie makes on defense this year not named Carter, Hunter, or Graham. That said...I want Walker unless Graham falls. I think Walker is clearly a starter and difference maker, but will Evero play him how he needs to be played? Or will he square peg and round hole it to death sticking to his guns knowing his job is on the line?
-
Ding ding ding. The state of LT's is bad...and getting worse. Only a few colleges could probably be trusted to coach up a LT, and now with NIL/transfer portal causing so many moves? Forget about it. If you even have an average LT at this point, I think you hold on for dear life.

My high school played (got killed by) Albemarle around TA's time...nice to randomly read the story of what we always assumed. EJ Abrams Ward was another name a decade later from Thomasville who seems like he was in the same boat. One of the best athletes I ever played against, poof done because of bad choices and continued to make them once he flamed out. Small town NC and football/basketball stardom is a helluva slippery slope.

God forbid this is the way the Draft shakes out

I think TMac is a lot more of an option than we believe (or want to believe). Walker or Graham are my guys at this point, but if they're both gone all bets are off. -
Some of Mike Kaye's recent tweets revolve around TMac. Conspiracy part of me thinks he's dropping some hints.
