This shows exactly what I've been yelling for more than a year now. It will be ridiculously easy to upgrade from Bryce. Of course we want to do more than just upgrade, but with the talent in this team just a modest improvement at QB will turn us into a pretty good team.
-
Right now it's the Saints.
-
That last sentence was kind of poetic.
-
Kind of loving how, even though people were stanning him so hard just a week ago, it feels like finally this is the ultimate collapse in his support. Like he's so obviously bad even the most diehard defenders are giving up. About damn time.
-
TD wasn't anything either. Huge lane and he still hesitated to pull it down and run.
-
Good lord that is an insane stat.

Seems like now is a good time to ask...

Zero percent chance Dalton is back. Some of y'all have let this team traumatized you into excessive pessimism. Realistically Bryce is probably back as the game 1 starter, but with a backup who is legit competition for the job and a developmental guy from the draft. Most importantly, there will be an agreement from Tepper on down that Bryce can lose the job. Which he will by game 5. -
I think we need to move on, period. Pull off the bandaid. Get what we can for Bryce in a trade, draft a guy in the second or third, and sign two vets. We'll almost certainly have better QB play and we'll get something for Bryce. Also it will be funny to see the "clutch GWD Bryce" and "but he leads the league in big time throws" crowd learn his true value when not only do we not get multiple first round picks in return, we get like a 2027 fifth.

I know people think they will, but Canales is getting roasted for the play calling that Bryce forces him into. Once the season is over, he'll be the first one to say Bryce has to go.
-
You can't pick up the option on a player as terrible as Bryce. I don't think this organization is that stupid.

I'm just going to be blunt because I'm getting tired of this discussion. Bryce f****** sucks and if you can't or won't see it, the problem is you. -

Just stop. Things aren't always perfect, but no decent QB has games like this. -
Bryce is elite at [PFF designated "big time"] throws

One of the worst starting QBs in the league, just as he has been ever since his first game. -
It's the scheme we have to run with the QB we have.
-
Lame. Obvious you're are a Bryce fan more than a Panthers fan. Go find a Bryce fan forum and post on that.

Dalton is gone, the contract doesn't matter except it's a negative on Morgan.
-
Yes. Begging for this to happen, but I don't think it will. I think we'll fire him and eat the buyout after another losing season in 26.
-
We've given up 53 more points than we've scored on the season. Beat a few bad teams, got some fluke wins where we were outplayed, and a couple of good wins. People who think just because we win a game Bryce is good are ready to keep him around. We're not good an it's because we have a QB with the lowest ceiling and most limited game in the league. Dump him and watch this team fly without him next year
-
Yes, there were other specific reasons why we lost, but the big picture is he's a game manager at best and he had a pretty mid game which means no margin for error anywhere else.
-
Business decision. Wouldn't have mattered, but the way he was like "welp" was pretty annoying.
-
The only way Kamara would win over Chuba and Rico would be based on name recognition and how he played several years ago. Which to be honest feels like what you're doing here.
-
I agree with this. I've been impressed by what he's been saying all this year. Maybe it's true that he didn't do great in the pre-draft interviews, I don't know, but at this point I'm inclined to give him a chance. I do think Deion's involvement is what really killed him in the draft. I think Deion realized he made a major mistake and is clearly not going to continue to try to be involved.
-
It's all just Bryce dragging the average down*. *I'm joking, but there is a little bit of truth to it. A better QB would have probably thrown for 40 more yards a game which would bump up the league avg more than a yard.
-
I think some people are missing a simple point. If you put a ton of resources into a guy, you're going to give him every chance to succeed. That's reasonable, not stupid. But that benefit of the doubt has its limits, and three years is pretty much the limit. Unless he consistently plays very well the last four weeks he either will be gone or at least will have a fight on his hands. You can't just look at the past and assume it will continue into the future.
-
Very good. But he's been bad most of this year. You think they're going to make a huge decision that involves nine figures because two games? The team and FO know most of the wins have been in spite of him, not because of him. I don't know why you won't just admit you think he's the guy, it's not an insane position, it's just not popular on this board. You keep saying what you think the team thinks, what do you think? Where would you rank him among NFL QBs? Would you extend his contact?
