  1. They aren't part of the staff I agree. I have watched several of Steve's takes on WR and if he were asked I believe they would listen. Steve is a hellava analyst when it comes to WR.
  2. We actually will probably have a great turn out of German fans. I know Carolina has invested quite a bit to build up our fan base in Germany.
  3. I work overseas and am planning on attending this game. I would love to go and see our Panthers in Germany. I love going to the Panthers home games, but this might just top them all. Especially if it is in October during Octoberfest. I will be keeping an eye on the Roaring Riot about tickets, if they can get them.
  4. I am very strongly opposed to tanking and have bounced back and forth with several huddlers that seem to want to tank at midseason. It sends a terrible message to your players and players that may eventually consider coming to Carolina. That said, once we were eliminated from contention, I don't think doing this is tanking. You are evaluating players that could be on the squad 2023. You are still trying to win but giving players who might have a future in this league a chance to play. Unfortunately for us. Wilks was fighting for his interim position and sent our best out there. It truly was one of the worst games I have ever seen. Seemed both teams couldn't get out of their own way. Thankfully, as you pointed out. It didn't cost us draft positon. Carolina mustered up enough to get close enough to kick the game winning FG.
  5. I was watching the 100 greatest game enders on youtube via NFL Network and this was one of them.
  6. I was watching YouTube and one of the videos I saw made a great point. Pittsburgh and Cincinnati drafted a QB and a WR to grow together. We have Young and Mingo. If they build a chemistry together they could be our dynamic Duo. I like the mix in the WR room. Some solid vets and some younger players that are finally going to break out of the shadows of the Fhule regime.
  7. OK if you say so. Have you not been paying attention? We added several pieces if Free Agency and a couple of rookies.
  8. BTW Mingo fights like a MOFO for the ball. He may not be as fast but S. Smith and DJ Moore had that same dog in them. It will be nice to have a 6'2" Smitty. lol
  9. Pretty harsh take there. Most believe our defense is a top 10 defense. We put a good offense on the field our defensive numbers are going to improve. Hopefully, 3 and out doesn't happen too often and our defense will stay straight. I do think LB can be upgraded and probably will after Evero gets a chance to see our guys perform in OTAs and minicamps. Our scheme is changing so it is very hard to say what our front seven is going to look like. After Hurst TE is a bit thin. I am hoping now that Fhule is gone Tremble will get more action and prove his value.
  10. I'm glad your big ass is on our team.
  11. Young's meeting during the 30 man visit sold the Panthers on him. I don't know if you saw the presser with Fitterer but they asked hm what his routine was in a week and stopped him after 30 minutes when he only reached Tuesday. Young A+ Mingo was targeted before round 2 even started. You can call for other positions of need, but Mingo was someone who fits what we want to do. It isn't always about the best athlete at the time. Mingo's skillset fits what Reich wants to do. Once again during Reich presser they mentioned that. To me that is more important than getting some guy with amazing talent but doesn't really fit what you are doing. Mingo A Johnson was mentioned with a similar skillset to Burns. While I don't expect him to blow the doors off in season 1 or 2 but by year 3 we could have a really good duo. Plus, in our scheme he will be upright and won't have his hand in the dirt. Presser mentioned that his Pro production will most likely be better than his college production. I see why we moved up. Johnson B+ Zavala gets an A just by the reaction of Campen. Not to mention he has chemistry with Ekwonu. I said before if we are going to draft Young our #1 priority is making sure we have a solid offensive line. We need a pipeline of good O-linemen as long as Young is a Panther. If the front office isn't worried about his injuries, neither am I. I am sure that the media with use injuries as a reason to drop his grade, but IMO watch the Campen video again and tell me we fugged up with this pick. Zavala A Robinson is my lowest grade at C+. Watching his videos, I like how him hit people. He has a violent nature about him I like. I forget where I heard it, but some said he had a CB body and could possibly play nickel. I am sure Evero had a lot to say about this pick and how he can utilize him. If all he does is play special teams and plays well the value in the 5th round was worth it. Robinson C+ Overall I think our staff is completely happy with our take in this year's draft. Sure we could have had this player or that player but based on our roster I believe we nailed this draft quite well. Overall Solid A.
  12. I don't think that is a good idea. We have a new scheme and a defensive coordinator that will be open to every player on this team. I'm not saying your not right but let's wait to see what Evero can do with our players.
  13. Zavala seems to be a great choice but lets not start replacing players for the best O-line we have had in years. Christensen should remain a starter whether right or left side. Corbett is down for a while so I could see Christensen moving to the right while he heals. Unless Zavala comes in and absolutely blows Christensen out of the line up. I don't see him replacing him any time soon.
  14. He was a tackle at NDSU. I would assume he'll be tried at G and T.
  15. I saw a video on him the other day. This guy is going to be a find for us. He's raw but has a lot of talent. Campen is the perfect coach for him.
  16. How can you not be excited about this pick based off of Campen's reaction. He really wanted this guy, and we got him. Many of us have played sports or still do. You know that feeling when you nail a shot to win the game. You react just like this. If I wasn't excited before, I am now.
  17. I was listening to a PFF cast of the draft on Youtube and that was there only bad take on the guy. Seems a tad injury prone but definitely a good value for a 4th round pick.
  18. Here is the true question. Carolina Barbeque or KC Barbeque? Some throw Texas BBQ but the usual debate of which is better is Carolina BBQ or KC BBQ. To me there is nothing better than Carolina BBQ. Nor only is it the original BBQ but it's the best.
  19. I don't think that there are any haters. I think many have their concerns because of his height. These are valid concerns. I do know that no matter who is chosen there will be those that said I told you we should have drafted so in so. I think Richardson, Young and Stroud will have good careers and it will be inevitable that someone is going to whine about the guy that got away.
  20. If this is the case then putting Corral on the PS and protecting him makes sense. He's not going to be #1 or #2. It would give the Panthers a chance to have another position of need on the active roster. The chances of 2 QBs going down in the same game are slim. I think with this staff Corral will open some eyes and give him a chance to develop. We still have him for 3 more season and at worst case scenario we might get some trade value out of him.
  21. It is a pretty sure thing that AR will go in the top 5. He'll be the third QB off the board at worse. I'd be happy with any of them. We had to move up to No. 1 just to ensure we get the player of choice. Moving up to 3 would make no sense as we are at the mercy of other teams. Moving up to 6 would only cost up draft choices and a good chance all 4 are gone. That would have been a dumb move. My take on Richardson is that he probably has the highest ceiling of all the QBs. We have a good coaching staff and a lot of good weapons to where he doesn't have to carry the team in year one. While it may take a year or so for him to get up to speed I believe he could be the best QB of this draft sooner than most think. Reich likes the RPO and Stroud and Richardson are best fit for that role. Young running the RPO would put him at risk of getting destroyed on a running play so I think that is why Young is our 3rd choice. I'd take Richardson but it's probably Stroud. I wouldn't be shocked if we go AR15.
  22. Lawrence is a "Franchise QB" these QB could be Franchise QBs. The mess Meyer had in Jacksonville was why he looked so bad. He looked terrific in 2022.
  23. I saw a clip on youtube about him. One game he was a Heisman trophy candidate the next they didn't want him to throw. He needs work, no doubt but we definitely have the coaching staff to handle him and a good offensive group to help him. He doesn't have to carry the team.
