  1. Darnold is a warrior. I've read he's all in and does everything to prepare himself. I think this game will be on our O-line. Dallas is beatable. The key to this game will be Brady. Though we don't have CMC we do have plenty of weapons to win this game. If he can do what he did after CMC went out last week we can win this game. If we lose, we start the next week trying to go 1-0. That's the mentality we are playing with and it won't be any different heading into the Philly game.
  2. Yes Rookies will make mistakes. Wilson has struggled but stil made plays with a terrible offensive line. Lawrence has made several mistakes but he is still making plays and showing he's learning under a rookie curve. Fields had 1 yard passing and is clearly overwhelmed. Some want to defend that he has a poor oline and they do. Darnold does not have a great o-line and has us at 3-0. I don't think we would be 3-0 if we had Fields running the show here. The Horn selection is looking more and more as the right choice.
  3. The guy is always looking to improve our team. Trading players or scooping them up on the market. He's not overpaying underperforming players just to save face from a 1st round pick. He is on the same page as the Head Coach which makes it easier to find the talent we want. 9 of 11 players drafted are contributing. The other two are in the wings as potential contributors. He's building a team that will be built for the long haul. Can you imagine 3 or 4 drafts in a row like 2021?
  4. The 1996 playoffs where we showed Dallas where Charlotte was will always be a great Panther day but my favorite was the 2015 beatdown in Dallas. Our Defense dominated Tony Romo and the "boys". Favorite play(s) back to back Ints for Luke. (3) Carolina Defensive Highlights (Week 12) | Panthers vs. Cowboys | NFL - YouTube
  5. This is what I love the most about our team. It's not a Luke/TD show. It's the whole damn team. I also think it is going to be hard to game plan against our defense because you really can't focus on one or two players to stop. Stop Burns you get Reddick, Stop Reddick you get Shaq and so on and so on.
  6. Martz is the culprit. He didn't use TE in his scheme so Marty (In a rare move) stole him from Chicago
  7. Saw this online. Panthers Reportedly Reached Out To 5-Time Pro Bowler (msn.com) I think it would be a good signing for us. I also think he would have great fun in this defense. i'd love to see it.
  8. That kind of happens when a 320lb Derrick Brown slams you to the ground.
  9. McDermott knew Rivera's philosophy defensively. If and I mean big IF, Rivera has the players on his defense he might have a top 5 defense. McDermott knows how to dismantle Rivera's defense. I like Rivera a lot but his defense is not build to beat highly potent offenses. Very clear to me.
  10. I saw a stat where he has more 20+ yard throws down field than any other QB. Maybe, just Maybe, Teddy took it to heart and has decided to take the downfield gamble. I think it is a mirage. Totally agree. I think eventually defenses will figure Teddy out like last year and force him to throw the deep ball. Not to mention that they are in a helluva division. KC, LV and LAC seem to be legit teams.
  11. Charlotte was picked to be the home of the Panthers because it was the biggest city closest to the border that could draw fans from both states. THIS IS THE CAROLINA PANTHERS. I grew up in NC so looking for a NC team was always my dream. When it turned out to be the Carolina Panthers based on two states my feelings weren't hurt. We had a team. I think some of you may forget the Richardson amazing presentation to the NFL. The presentation was based on two states. In the beginning of the search for new franchises Richardson's team was a huge darkhorse. If it wasn't for Richardson's presentation we would still be fans of other teams. HOUSTON GET IT RIGHT NEXT TIME.. CAROLINA PANTHERS
  12. The Bears seem to me to be like the Gaze run Jets. They are a mess. I was happy we passed on Fields and think the Horn addition really made our defense stellar. Darnold has great numbers and is pretty much overlooked as a top tier QB. What I like about Darnold is that he's tough and that he executes the game plan well. I said earlier, if our defense remains at the top of the NFL. Darnold is skilled enough to get us in the playoffs. If we can reach the playoffs I would not discount this team as a contender.
  13. I was never a fan of Fields. Though he was a good college QB the NFL is a different animal. I think he'll have some success but IMO will not be better than Darnold. It was a good decision to get Darnold here. All the rookie QBs are going to struggle this year. Fields, Lawrence and Wilson are on really bad teams. Jones is having issues against good teams. Lance is currently a gadget play QB and is probably in the best situation of the 5. Darnold receives lots of love from the media because we are 3-0. He isn't dropping 50 yd bombs but is running the offense very well. Considering our O-line is a mess, he's doing well. Our success relies on two things. Our defense keeps balling out and Brady does his homework and comes up with good offensive game plans to counter our poor line and what better defenses will bring to us. If Brady can come up with a good gameplan, Darnold is tough enough and smart enough to execute it. We'll have our bumps. I don't see us going 17-0. I'll be ready for the bandwagon to be deserted after we lose one game.
  14. I loved Meyer at OSU but I think he is way over his head in the NFL and Jacksonville is the NYJ south. They could destroy him before they ever dump Meyer.
  15. I think he has had more pin point passes than "bad" throws and it isn't even close. I want to see Fitterer and Co. figure out how to fix our O-Line this year without giving up our 1st or 3rd this year. If that happens I think we can remain in the playoff conversation the rest of the season.
  16. Sam is averaging nearly 300 yds per game with the 31st ranked passing O-Line? That in itself should put you on the Darnold bandwagon regardless of how we finish the season. If we somehow improve the O-line through the season and focus on O-line in the 2022 draft we could really have a well rounded team with Darnold at the helm.
  17. What makes this even more fun to watch is Burns and Reddick having a sack challenge going on. They are trying to outdo one another and it is creating havoc for offensive linemen. So enjoyable to watch these two in a friendly competition. At this current rate they both will have 17+ sack seasons. That would be amazing.
  18. Great points. I don't think it is fair he clumps Salah with Gaze. This is his first season and you gotta give him time. The Mims pick is looking like a bust though.
  19. We have build an amazing young team through the draft. I would not give up our 1st for nothing. Different philosophies but my money is on the draft.
  20. You figure that many start to decline by 30 and you're talking big money. If you draft a young talented OT in the first round than you have 5 years at a value. That would take Tunsil to 32 and you've just spent a bankroll on him for those 5 year. Might not be "aging veteran" but at the end of 5 year span we are now looking for someone to replace him. So yeah, his age does have something to do with it.
  21. 4th place in best season start behind some guy named Steve Smith. I think it is funny that when we drafted him. SS said we finally have someone who can take over for him.
  22. Rich Eisen is one of the best radio/TV personalities there is. This show is one of my favorites and enjoy listening to him as often as possible. His rant was hilarious and he is 100% right. Sam had to go but not because he wasn't a good QB.
  23. How about if we just don't shop for the next 9 days. LOL
  24. I questioned his ability to adjust in the 2nd half but from the 4th Quarter of the Saints game and against the Texans he's done better. We'll see how he keeps it going without CMC. This will show how good of and OC he is.
  25. We are building a young athletic team through the draft. No way would I give up our 1st round pick for an aging veteran regardless of how good he is right now.
