  1. You know Brady and Brown may have problems initially but they will grow as they play. I think there is a far more upside to let these players learn and grow with game time experience. I do believe, based on what I have read, that Brown and Christensen can do no worse that what we are proposing to put on the field.
  2. I agree, but from what I saw in preseason Winston looked good. Obviously it was preseason with no gameplanning. I think what many teams will do is bring lots of pressure and make him make bad decisions. However, if he doesn't get rattled he might do well. I hope he bombs but you can't ignore that Payton might be able to control him. If he can, New Orleans could do better than most expect.
  3. The Saints are interesting. If Winston somehow overcomes his turnover issue he could be a dangerous QB. He has some weapons and Payton, as much as I hate him, is probably the one coach that can get him under control. They could be really good or abysmal. Depending on Winston.
  4. Think it is just that easy? We'll see how accurate you are. T. Taylor is set to start game one. Either way, it's no skin off my butt. I wanted him before his issues but there is no way in hell I would give up 3-1st and multiple 2nds for a player that has all these legal issues. I
  5. Of course they don't want to trade him but what is their option. Is Watson going to put stats up holding the clipboard?(which I doubt he'll do) or being a sideline distraction? Watson has made it clear he doesn't want to play for Houston. I guess this is turning into a who has bigger balls.
  6. It's the audacity of the Texans to demand the same or more draft capital for Watson regardless of his legal status. I have heard 3 first and 2 or 3 seconds. It's insane demands for someone who could miss this year and possibly a year long suspension from the NFL. Who wants to trade for a QB who could not see the field again until 2023.
  7. Those targets alone should help him. Teams start to focus on our wide outs the TE will be matched with LBer. Arnold will feast and Tremble will get his moments. He won't lead the league or anything but those big targets are going to help his stock as a receiver.
  8. I almost went into shock. Lamar Jackson was released. DB NYJ
  9. I would imagine that is a bottom line issue to. I'm sure if a team has to forfeit than they lose a lot of money.
  10. I completely understanding any player that decides not to get vaccinated. However with the rule about forfeiting of a game due to a Covid outbreak I also understand why teams may use the vaccination a factor on whether to cut a player or not.
  11. You know most insurance companies will pay for new glasses. Cause you ain't seeing right. PJ is a scrambler and couldn't hit a bull in the butt with a banjo. Darnold, with a blindfold on would still be more accurate than PJ on his best day.
  12. Yeah, I was going to put him in there but I didn't want to cause an unneeded meltdown of the server. Too many Howell haters.
  13. Add 6 more from 2020 and our talent base is getting younger. Pride is on IR so he's not included but he would make 7.
  14. Darnold starting = potential wildcard PJ starting = "For the first pick in the 2022 NFL Draft The Carolina Panthers select ????"
  15. I am hoping that he contributes sooner than later for this team. He's a solid blocker and will help a ton in the running game. I also think his receiving skills are highly underestimated.
  16. I definitely think we will get a O-line and LB. I think the biggest question is will they fit our scheme. Fitterer has been a master with the draft but I am not so keen on his FA decisions. Too many moves that didn't pan out.
  17. As long as Rhule doesn't use Temple and Baylor as his pipeline for professional players, I think Rhule has just as good an opportunity to be good as Salah.
  18. I don't think there is a starting position available so he'll have to accept the backup if he wants a check. I also agree that it might be more of a distraction than it would be worth.
  19. They all had their moments but Jones IMO was the most impressive. Not knocking any of the others. I know it was only preseason but the hatred for Jones before the draft was so unwarranted. So many were claiming Jones was a product of the Alabama system and wasn't athletic enough to be drafted in round 1.
  20. IMO Jones was the best looking QB. I was pulling for Cam but you could tell Jones looked better. Lawrence may end up being the best of this class but I think Jones showed that he'll be around for awhile. I do want to bring up that many didn't want Jones because he was not as athletic as Lance, Wilson or Fields. I think he shows he has a great chance to be a long time starter.
  21. We're talking PJ Walker as our back-up. Cam in his sleep is better than PJ. If Cam agreed to get vaccinated I would rather have him as a backup than PJ and it isn't close.
  22. It's not something we should be happy about. PJ is terrible and apparently Rhule thinks Grier was worse. Not much to brag about, there GM FamOstinato
  23. I don't expect too many surprises. I am more interested in seeing who becomes available from other teams. I am sure we have a high interest in LB and OT.
  24. I know in the Hurney days draft picks for the most part were always apart of the 53. Hurney never wanted to admit he was wrong about a player.
  25. Was a Baltimore Colts fan. Unitas my childhood hero. I stopped following them when Irsay pulled the plug and disappeared into the night in '84. Jumped on the Giant bandwagon because LT (a Tarheel) was in NY. Stayed a Giant fan until we got our beloved Panthers. Been a true loyal fan since. More downs than up but still love them.
