I think we'll either see the offense explode next year or it's going to implode and Shula could be fired mid-season. No doubt with a healthy Stewart and an upgrade at WR #2 to go with Olsen and Benjamin, the offense could be very good. Alexander is also still on his rookie contract. Hardy would still be on the roster if he was on his, too. What's your point here? It's about taking on a NEW player with baggage, not keeping one that's already under contract.

At this point Hardy is probably looking at a 1yr deal that won't break the bank. No team wants to spend a bunch of money on a player with the kind of baggage he has. Especially after the Ray Rice fiasco. Rice's career looks like it's over, and Hardy is struggling to find a new home. He's too talented not to sign somewhere but no one is "backing up the Brinks truck" like he said after the 2013 season.
