May have been, I was kinda distracted, but it certainly seem like he slowed....ball looked right to me, but too long...maybe a combo of both of them?

Man....I'm wasn't going to call RA out, but it looked to me like he took his foot off the gas there...maybe not and that's part of the route, but looked odd. The other miss I need to watch again.

Just need CMC back, and a plan of how to play effectively with him out. When he's in there, it's a much different game plan for the defenses. Chubba wasn't going to scare them, Moore got his, Sam missed Robby a couple times, had we hit those deep, they were gonna back off quick. We ran up against a better team, on the road, with the refs being more than a little forgiving toward the home team. I think we are a good team, I think Dallas may be very good.

Meanwhile, over at that other expansion team...

Oh god....did they? I'm not super impressed with Tepper, and I dogged Jerry for years....but just goes to show you, it could always be worse. -
The Cowboys offensive line committed zero penalties

If Jerome is on the field, just know the refs will likely be terrible that day. -

Was never going to work. Khan is something else man. -
Not sure what you are getting at, but my point is this...they said they were treating him as a rookie this season...well, so far, he has far outplayed every actual rookie in the NFL. I'm not 100% sure if Sam can be a "franchise" guy...whatever that means, but with a good defense, and another year in the system, and getting our best player back...this seems like a QB we can win with....consistently...and we are getting a couple cheap years to make sure thats the case.
-
Far outplaying my expectations this early in the season, and more than worth the investment. If he continues to just get a little better, day by day, and we get CMC back...we will have something. I cannot imagine a single 2nd rounder playing as well as Sam has so far.

We lost on the road to a playoff team. The refs had a terrible day, and we still kept is somewhat respectable. We were missing 2 of our best 5 players....and this was the first game without them. Dak is an elite QB. We are young, have a bad O line, and are learning how to play together...this team has very little continuity. This was expected.

The Panthers Progress (from this era to the next)

I'd say you would have to think think of it more of a Cousins and Jimmy G type situation....IMO. You thought the talent was there, but weren't sure but you had to gamble because.....quarterback. Not saying it's going to stay on the rails, but I'm certainly hopeful. Haven't been that way in a while. -

He may, not many do though. With him, he could look to do a contract similar to Cousins' deal. 3 years 90, all guaranteed....or something like that...knowing he will hit it again at 27/28. Not expecting him to do it, but sure would be nice. -
We also have not faced a good QB yet...Dak is playing like a top 5 QB right now. We shall see, but this won't be an easy one...I think that Sam is going to have to make a couple great plays for us to win.

I think he meant.... Ron: Oh poo....nothing is working today. "Shula, see if Cam can be superman again this week and bail me out, to hell with him taking a career altering amount of hits." -

Good article, thank you for sharing. I have no clue why I feel this way, but I think that this staff can alter the trajectory of Sam...if so, and he somehow becomes a top 10 QB...we will be in business. Our window is opening. -
Is this the best Panthers pass rush in franchise history?
thefuzz replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Stay healthy and we have a shot at this being the case. Loss of Horn is gunna hurt against the better QB's. -
If he is an average corner, it's a good trade. If he allows our defense to not fall apart because of losing Horn, it's a great trade. If he lives up to his ability, it's a fantastic trade. Horn allowed us to play differently...hope he can just come close to that.

I'm still a little shocked.

What THE????

Dude, please don't take it the wrong way, certainly didn't mean anything by it, was just curious. I grew up in a household that rarely, if ever ate food we didn't make in our kitchen. There was no such thing as choosing what you ate...you ate whatever the hell was on the table, or you went hungry. My wife grew up eating at restaurants for almost every meal, now I hear of people getting fast food and taking it home for dinner with the fam...I just never did it, was wondering how often that happens?

We have some media darlings (at the moment) in the 3 big coaches here. Sam is a reclamation project from the most media frenzied part of the country. CMC is a star, and our strength is on our pass rush and pass catchers...media loves sacks and passing plays. The Panthers are fun to watch for the first time in a while. This too shall pass.

I've gotten take out before, it's rare, but I do it when lazy or needed. However, I cannot recall a single time in my life where I got takeout from a drive through and took it home as a meal, especially for dinner. That said, I eat out about 2 times per month for dinner, maybe less.
-
Just curious, not judging. Do many people get "fast food" to take home for dinner? I can't recall ever doing that a single time in my life.

Prolly just make both...she get's what she wants, and I do as well. Wings and quiet.
-
Either wings or Cali Chicken Burgers. Wife wants the chicken burgers, I want wings.

Bolded is so important to the future/immediate future of the team. If, and its a big if, but if Sam can turn his career around like Tannehill....we will have the makings of something really nice here.
