  1. Rhule doesn’t understand the nfl game. Brady is an atrocious game day playcaller. The seat needs to be getting real warm. The team is built to win right now. Can’t spend four years hoping they figure it out or this could turn real ugly real quick.
  2. This game is all on coaching. Probably just cost this teams a Playoff spot.
  3. imagine if they hadn’t burned a timeout running the punt team on the field
  4. I really don’t think they trust cam tbh. it’s been incredibly vanilla on offense and they’ve refused to take a shot despite the protection being there
  5. Protection has been there. Refuse to take a deep shot.
  6. Haven’t tried them deep all game despite being down their two best pass rushers
  7. Soft over the middle. Just checking it down to the underneath man and snow hasn’t adjusted.
  8. He’ll just invent some new line of circular reasoning as to why the Panthers actually made the most ideal possible decision and every single player is the greatest i can see it now ”sam darnold is one of the leagues best QBs. The Panthers know this, but they also know that a rookie QB is cheaper. Both players are amazing, but they picked one, because. that. Is. what. excellent. teams. do. it’s that simple. can’t believe you stupid posters who I’m too cowardly to name because then it will invite logical counters don’t see it.” edit: it’s like reading one of those AI thought bots that don’t have any original thoughts but simply draw from the pool of information available on a specific topic. His topic is Panthers post game pressers where he simply parrots all the generic isms players and coaches vomit out as if they actually mean what they say.
  9. I wouldn’t be so quick to let Gilmore walk even if they resign Jackson
  10. alright so here’s the recap: the argument in favor of cutting Cam revolved around the reality that his injury may prevent him from being good enough to win you a super bowl, but that he was still too good a player to let you “tank.” Tanking of course being defined not as intentionally losing football games, but as not artificially inflating your W/L record for that season by throwing frivolous money and draft capital around for no reason and simply accepting where you are at in your franchises development so when Cam was cut, from that perspective, it wasn’t the wrong move, even if failing to prepare for it had forced you into a position where you were relying on luck however, the teams moves from there clashed with the above outlook they immediately went out and signed a journeyman QB to a big deal (and a 3rd round comp) to ensure they wouldn’t be getting a top 5 pick (though all things considered, they got lucky picking 8 and would’ve been even higher if the lions weren’t so mindnumbingly trash) and when that predictably went like a bunch of laymen told the paid professionals it would-they did the exact same thing all over again, except this time paying more, including a 2nd round pick. to top it off, they had Fields fall to them but by that point had convinced themselves all the talking points they had fed to the media to talk up Darnold were actually true and not just propaganda it’s remarkable how bad they are at this anyways, yeah, back at square 1. If you’re not going to “tank” then you ride it out with Cam. he should be here until you get a 1st round rookie QB. The Watson ship sailed when you decided to wait until he was clean and you were in a bidding war with 2/3 of the League for him (spoilers)
  11. What they should’ve done is prepare for Cam’s departure before it was necessary but looking likely it wasn’t a surprise when Cam went out there and got hurt again his final season. we knew it was a good QB class well in advance. we had people on this board, yes, me, but many others as well saying to look ahead but they didnt and then they didn’t again when Bridgewaters failure was predictable and then they didn’t again when Darnolds failure was inevitable so forgive me if I have a bigger bone to pick with the team than most may feel proportionate
  12. “According to Elias Sports Bureau data, Newton is 959 passing yards and 194 rushing yards from becoming the first player in NFL history to reach the 30K-5K club for a single team -- although Russell Wilson needs just 426 rushing yards to reach the milestone with the Seattle Seahawks.”
  13. if they embarrass Cam a second time there’s going to be blood in the streets
  14. Tepper has talked about a desire to “change the culture” since the day he landed the reality is that the Panthers culture was always very good but he did it anyways, setting out to raze every aspect of the previous regime and replace it with things that could be a testament to Dave and his good work now the team has no culture, they’re rudderless, chasing every fart buzzword like “analytics” while playing on a crappy grass turf that everyone hates because it saves Dave a few bucks
  15. okay well the salesman is going to have a whole lot of terms when he’s got two dozen other people each trying to outdo each other’s offer
  16. waiting until everything is peachy keen with Watson and the Texans have 20 different suitors bidding for him would be only the latest mega blunder at the position the organization has made do it now or don’t bother
  17. It wasn’t a prediction. It was common sense. sam darnold had been the leagues literal worst QB for three seasons. We had a college head coach who hadn’t demonstrated an ability to evaluate personnel, and hired a general manager because he could look at rhule and say “yes sir” and at tepper and say “wow how about that Microsoft huh” instead of a GM who could work with authority over rhule and diminish his weaknesses to allow his strengths to shine more prominently. there was never anything scandalous about it. Only scandalous people who can’t hear criticism.
  18. whatever I’m not gonna sit around and watch this team stockpile a bunch of camp bodies
