  1. Implicit to your remark is that you aren’t building a consistent winner with this approach i honestly can’t even remember the last time a guts and glory team even won a super bowl in an isolated fashion It doesn’t work anymore, and yet, it’s what we’re hoping to build here
  2. “jake type player” isn’t good enough to win Super Bowls anymore
  3. at this point we just have to hope for the best and by best I mean him failing his physical and the deal collapsing
  4. it isn’t about the picks the loss of draft capital is just a secondary irritation (one that will be made worse when they inevitably go chasing replacement picks) it’s about the team doubling down on the same predictable mistake they just made and bypassing the rare opportunity to acquire a legitimate high end prospect in the draft
  5. teams that refuse to learn will burn season after season making the same mistake and you and I will be the ones who have to pay for it not literally though, I’m definitely well past doing that
  6. Absolutely, chances on high end QB prospects are rare.,and given the terrain of the NFC the panthers had quite an opportunity to obtain one and be the only team in the conference with a king term option there instead they’ll chase another failure and hope to defy the odds by turning him into a star (presumably because Matt rhule really liked Sam darnold as a personality from that one time they met on skype)
  7. I meant their actual performance and registered production and not whatever weirdo metric you’re using
  8. I hate when the team makes predictably terrible moves and forces the lot of you and myself to endure the byproducts of those said decisions despite the obvious consequences being obvious well in advance it’s you abused housewives who line up to lap it down that I feel bad for
  9. this again some of you are some real masochists
  10. you have to be a certifiable idiot to give a guy with two seasons of nfl experience and a clear propensity for Feel Goods control over your roster
  11. The bears looked at Sam darnold and Andy dalton and took The Line
  12. I felt rhule had a collection of genuine strengths that needed a strong hand from ownership so as not to not allow him to fall into the traps that so many college coaches fall into then we gave him personnel control and here we are
  13. yeah I’m not going to sit around and watch one of these other guys become a mega star while we have to endure annual draft dialogue on “trying to take some more off darnold’s plate” and “really lean on the run game this season” this could get ugly
  14. If the draft rolls around and this team passes on a QB I think I’m gonna need a break
  15. missing out on a QB only to miss out on a blue chip talent would be a disaster at some point the team has to just lie down in the bed they made instead of trying all these cutesy half measures to dig themselves out of the whole
  16. Ian rappaport just confirmed that we were the only team trying to get darnold
  17. he hasn’t played remotely well people make it to the nfl all the time without learning the nuances of the position when has a player this deep into their career ever made such sweeping and radical changes to who they are and blossomed into a star
  18. well it hasn’t failed me yet, I wish I could share it so I didn’t have to listen to so many awful shill takes after every terrible decision the team makes
