  1. Been away for awhile, but wanted to see how all the “Reich had history with Eason Corral is a piece of poo he gone” people are doing with this news.
  2. Come on dude lol. This place is something else.
  3. Do you read your posts? It’s akin to an obese person giving dietary advice.
  4. And you want to trade him for Malik? Maybe Corral should have transferred to Liberty and continued to never be great there. I don’t know how you define “great” either, or even how relevant it is for being a pro QB. “Great” college players bust all the time, and guys you didn’t expect end up having nice careers. It’s such a team sport, and going off stats just isn’t the way.
  5. At least it appears EA finally figured out clothing though. Every coach has been dressed in Tiger Woods 2004 apparel for the last 20 years.
  6. I had a theory that Corral was catching hate because people didn’t want him resulting in us not drafting Young/Stroud. But we drafted Young and…with a choice crowd it seems worse now? So I really don’t get it at this point.
  7. Judging people without knowing them certainly is relevant. But you do you boo.
  8. Yeah but stats out of context are bullshit. If you just went off stats, Bryce Young fell off hard his last year. 1500 less yards. 15 less passing touchdowns. Lower completion percentage. Sam Howell was murdered for lesser stats, Bryce wasn’t. But there is context that explains it. So you have to dive in, and not just look at stats. Or at least if you look at raw stats…treat everyone the same way.
  9. This post is far more emotional than his post. Odds are you know nothing about him outside of him playing football, and yet you judge his character why? Dude is early 20’s, got hurt, has probably been busting his ass for the past year, and he had a moment.
  10. “Needs the money I’m sure.” Can be read as a slight. Not sure that’s how you meant it but that’s what their gif is about lol.
  11. “North Carolina sucks. Bojangles is trash chicken. Sweat tea is stupid. Church is for suckers.” -Matt Corral (Huddle perception)
  12. I must have. Did he explicitly say something about the number or did you read into it that he was “flexing” #9?
  13. …or his high school/college number was available with Moore being traded and he simply switched.
  14. See @Growl. I tried to tell you it wasn’t like Clausen/Cam.
  15. We nearly had 8-10 wins with defensive linemen touching Bakers passes as much as our receivers. 11+ wins easily if Bryce puts up those numbers.
  16. It’s gonna be a loooooooooong wait but damn it’s a good time to be a Panthers fan.
  17. Here’s probably what really happened. Trading up and taking Young isn’t a direct statement about Corral at all. You simply can’t bank your season on a guy who got hurt and couldn’t show anything. Even in a crazy situation like if Young busted, and Corral developed into an MVP, you still needed to add a QB this off-season. The position just needed resources thrown at it. I’m excited that we have a plan A (Young), a vet (Dalton), and a plan B (Corral). Beats the hell out of a Mayfield/Darnold camp battle.
  18. Yeah most people can’t relate to his exact situation, but we all know what it’s like to feel overlooked or under appreciated (which may only seem that way, and not be true). And most of us have overreacted on social media or posted something that wasn’t worth posting. It’s just not worth the time. These are young men competing to be the elite of the elite. Career is always on a knifes edge.
  19. Yes. And his supporting cast was also scrubs battling for a practice team slot. It was chaos out there, and typically is when those players are out there. It’s easier to throw randoms out there on defense vs. offense (as well). Offense needs timing, organization, rhythm. And not only was he thrown out there with a 4th string unit, but he had to split the reps with that unit with a vet who didn’t need those reps. AND he was a rookie. Corral might actually be terrible, but last camp/preseason isn’t the proof that he is.
  20. 6’3” 230 isn’t very similar to 6’0” 230. Weight is spread out over a larger frame. Burns is a fine example. He’s probably 250ish now, but at 6’5” with long arms, people still think he needs more weight for run support. I’m a “Chinn needs to be in the box” supporter myself, but not because I think he has the right frame, but he plays big, is instinctual, and is probably our most explosive defender. Fearless too. To play a more permanent role inside, and to add to his career, he should get up in at least the 240’s to bang with the big guys. But as you pointed out, base defense is simply that, and we will have numerous packages and ways to utilize him outside of base. Im excited to see how we use Chinn this year.
  21. With Mingo’s hands he’s basically catching a youth ball. Wow. I like our draft top to bottom. Even Johnson, who, after I watched a few Oregon all snap defense videos…I get it. A lot of people will say we don’t have a #1 WR or that we need one, but I don’t think that’s the case. If Bryce has the vision and goes through his reads as billed…then having a bunch of solid options beats having a star you have to feed the ball to.
  22. At this point we have the benefit of knowing when everyone was picked. Fitt and co didn’t have that luxury.
  23. I can’t believe I have to say this, but we have been wrong to assume this before: I’m confident this staff will practice redzone, 2 minute, and short yardage situations.
  24. Most draft picks for every team don’t make it for long. That being said, there are at least three on that list that you are being wildly impatient with.
  25. Interested in how CJ does with this staff, but unfortunately he just doesn’t (at least at this point) have that dawg in him. You need to be the ultimate competitor at corner. I expect him to have a great year or get cut before week 1. No in-between lol.
