  1. Wilks tell sideline reporter we have to stay aggressive - um, when did we start?
  2. Seeing how staff is handling pressure is not encouraging. Wilks punts away 2 , refuses to challenge = instead using a time out, leaves Taylor in despite constant roasting. Doesn't inspire support.
  3. Wilks has shown he can take a bad team and make them average. That's not the same as taking an average team and making them winners. I love the guy and what he stands for but watching today seemed to show he's not in Tomlin's class. When a team that has everything to play for gets trucked by a team that has no real reason to win it doesn't seem to be a good sign. He clearly has more substance than Rhule but I feel the same about hiring him long term that I do about darnold. Good people, just not going to accomplish what we all want.
  4. Must win, critical game and team looked as lackluster and never competed. Why would that make us want him back? He's done a good job with little to work with but looked below average today when it mattered most.
  5. They are working everybody - can't think of anybody on D that looks interesated.
  6. Good to see the Christmas spirit alive and well
  7. Might want to avoid your friends today.
  8. Not true today - at least in first half. Getting bullied / punched in mouth. O=Line and D-Line constantly going backwards. Chinn running away from tackles.
  9. If he can't win critical home games it's better to know now than after keeping him. Team looks sluggish, almost like they've been reading their own press clippings, expected a forfeit.
  10. Here's the info for tiebreakers: NFL Tiebreaking Procedures | NFL.com
  11. Art Shell and Mike Ditka would like to have a word out back.
  12. The perfect storm: 1. Baker had a lot of quick read & release - playing vs. over thinking. And he was hot - if it was a 3 point contest, he'd likely have won it too. I'm happy he had the game-he was a good teammate here. 2. Raiders really began tightening up, you could sense the "are we gonna blow another sure win" attitude. 3. 2 key plays, Raiders had single coverage on best receiver????? 4. Clemson grad (no surprise) jumped offsides on a meaningless punt. Notre Dame grad gets a 15 yarder for what might be dumbest penalty possible. Carr throws a late first half interception that defies explanation. Or in other words, raiders played like we do sometimes, simply refusing to win.
  13. Looking for a partner on some prime real estate in York County . . . Here's the aerial shots. . .
  14. This is beginning to sound like the "NextDoor" app. You know, the "someone drove up my road and slowed down and stared at my house - I've notified the police but wanted all of you to BOLO for a 74 Caprice Wagon with wood grain siding" . . . Way too much of people minding other people's business. If he wants to send an IG message, it's still a moderately free country. It's his life and his family.
  15. This just in: Fired Sir Purr's tailor, replacing with taxidermist who makes great bear costumes. Fired 1/3 of concession workers, replacing with prison cook staff used to serving people who want to leave but can't. Fired scoreboard IT director for allowing replays that looked bad, replacing with Chiefs asst video director and asking him to show KC only replays. Fired pest control firm, replacing them concert managers since they share similar capabilities. Fired entire scouting department, replacing them with visually impaired staff that will offer same results for a reduced rate.
  16. If Woods had dropped three interceptions instead of two would he have increased his rating???
  17. Especially since CMC was 7 years old during that Super Bowl
  18. I learned that Tepper could have said Wilks was a candidate to stay if he was average (vs incredible) and he would have been plenty safe from being in any forthcoming lawsuit.
  19. It's possibkle that Tepper is also rattled, not used to a city being put out with hime and is so careful about doinh the right thing that he is missing the necessary thing. I've been a bit surprised at how little criticism goes toward the GM. There have been some quwstionable trades, lost compensation and weak drafts. If that's because he's been overruled, it makes sense. But if he's been a key influencer on the QB decisions and in season trades, he needs to be evaluated as well.
  20. 1 ) From PFT: I had not heard this. If so, then it weakens the case against early firing due to financial concerns: Here’s a reason to do it sooner than later. If Rhule lands a job in the coming NCAA hiring cycle, the Panthers would get a dollar-for-dollar credit as to any remaining buyout. If Tepper keeps Rhule until after the season, the college jobs might be filled. 2) If we do have the roster strength some of us believe, it could help to have Wilks lead a turn around so possible next coaches, (if not Wilks), would see better potential and have more interest.
