  1. Seriously, that's something I'm realizing this year. I know JAX hasn't given him much but they've got the guy that even with a bad team, gets QBs to look good. The running game was a monster, and his arm just doesn't seem good. His arm strength seems gumby like and he just doesn't create. Starting to look pretty iffy for me with Trevor. My favorite story right now: Tua is turning into the pre-college injury monster everyone thought he was while others were saying Trevor was the next GOAT. Different drafts but that Trevor noise was loud and for some time much like Luck. Those were the two mega-hyped ones in the internet age.
  2. When it looks like Bryce and Stroud are the only 1st rounders at QB, we really need to be in position. The entire NFC will be needing QBs next year subtract Dallas, Philly & MIN. Seriously, the entire conference. Trading up for one will not be easy. Today was a heartbreaker but it is true.
  3. I mean, shorties can ball. They just need the QB gene. I personally think Young has that gene, regardless of size. His passes, pocket awareness, precisions. All consistent and on point. It has now and for a while been Young & Stroud. Still should be one and hate to admit it, but today's painful loss helped.
  4. No matter if you're wanting a tank or not, today was a whirlwind of emotions.
  5. Young in his career, but he had 7 games to sit, should look a bit better than this given how some claim he was a 1st rounder. Seems completely out of his element.
  6. Willis continues to look really bad.
  7. I feel like they don't even call the helmet penalty half the time. Still, totally makeable kick. It's not some 58 game winner. This loss is on 2-minute defense and the kicker.
  8. The emotions today. The emotions. I'm spent. Gonna cook some short rib.
  9. Stroud is still playing in line with expectations. Would say Young and Stroud are still 1A/B. Both have some awesome traits and aren't doing anything to scare peeps away. Levis' lack of intangibles and decision making is becoming way more apparent. Has all the capability to be in the top tier, but can't consider him there yet. He's know kind of in his own group because of the inability to make things happen in games. Penix in 2 weeks vs. Oregon is one to watch, Huskies had the week off but he's trending up. Hooker may have convinced some to take him more seriously R1. Back on radars--Richardson. But he needs to stay in school, he's still really young. Looking like a 2 (at most 4) QB Round 1 as things stand. Tier A- Young, Stroud (no changes here) Tier B- Levis (trending down), Hooker Tier C- Penix, McCall (both trending up) Tier D-Tune, McKee, O'Connell, Ward*, Richardson* *should go back to school
  10. What is the deal with using ellipses all the time? haha
  11. I feel like many are just waiting to find any/all crit w Stroud. jeez. He had a very solid day again.
  12. I don't think we need to complicate it. Pretty certain Baker will not be getting the incentivized snap count. PJ was named starter even if all are healthy, it will take some games before we'd consider reversing the decision back to the worst looking QB of the bunch.
  13. Yup. That’s not hyperbole. This may be the worst division in history, definitely worst since they made it 8.
  14. There’s been a handful of 3rd to 4th rounders at QB that just never really even made it to the field for a variety of reasons—have to face the fact Corral may be one of them. Garrett Grayson, Sean Mannion, Hackenburg, James Morgan, Kellen Mond, Will Grier..it just happens. Corral is kind of floating in that territory until he can at least get healthy, sniff the field and see some action.
  15. "Are you strong enough to be my man?" -Sheryl Crow
  16. It's not Corral specifically, but relatively & it's all of last year's class. Everything I've seen hasn't changed a thing, if anything pushes them all down further. I wanted to love Corral, want to root for him, hell, still will, hope I get proven wrong. Chris Simms babay...amiright? I won't lie though, was definitely on some hype trains, we're QB desperate..some open to go in R1, but in the grand scheme of things, the first guy I'm saying, "oh I'd for sure take Malik/Pickett/Corral/Ridder over" is around that Hall/Ward range. Young, Stroud, Levis, no questions asked. Penix looks miles better and has a monster ceiling, the arm finesse, size, agility, decent footwork. Upside with Hooker is immense. McKee is being very overlooked but I know due to my Stanford and Colts connections he is being eyed hard by many, he checks nearly every box. But 2021's group--they don't even sniff the top of this draft. As a prospect--if we're stretching the pool out a few years, I see the bulk of last years class somewhere between a Kizer and Mills. Some good upside, great traits, nothing remotely special. High bust potential. The fact that basically every team went in another direction from pick 17 to 74...57 entire picks to take the next QB after Kenny freaking Pickett tells you everything you need to know. Corral, all excuses and circumstance aside, just downright looked bad. Some guys will still show a glimmer of something, some type of "in it", poise, spunk. He just didn't belong, Tony Pike level. I'll try to hope otherwise, but other than his flick release, he needs to grow a ton.
  17. 1A/B/C: Stroud/Young/Levis 2: Hendon Hooker 3: Michael Penix Jr 4: Tanner McKee 5: Grayson McCall 6: Matt Corral…he’s kind of on Jaren Hall’s level for me 7: Cameron Ward (should stay one more year and keep it going, on a great trajectory)
  18. We’ll I’d like to think the amount of mentions and threads this week he’d chime in. Seems like a legit hiatus. Times change folks. I could always turn back into TRD
  19. The only problem being shorter QBs do have a limited capacity between the numbers in the 10-15 yard range so defenses can easily rule out certain throws in the short/mid range middle of the field. Buuuut Kyler and Jalen (just started this year) have much less limited passing plays than people would've anticipated & are doing well at dispelling the assumption. Russ is playing so poorly it's hard to even know with him anymore. Heck, look at Bryce at :19 below, also 2:43 is a beaut over some big bois
