McAulay is arguably one of the most respected refs of all time aside Mike Carey so I'll agree with his take. Freaking sucks. Buut DJ is fine, he'll move on but I just hate how inconsistent the refs are crew to crew. It's as if their own styles of calling are, in a way, their own rule books in themselves. The Redskins just had Terry or someone remove their helmets after their big play on the field. Just no consistency. I can handle missed or phantom holds mid-game, but these game changing calls with no week-to-week or crew-to-crew consistency really weigh the league down. These refs need to be trained to let guys duke it out on critical drives, get less flag-sensitive unless it's obvious. And to always rule in favor of TOs, TDs, tight catches and big plays so New York/the booth can quickly review. Still don't get why these guys don't do this as much as they can. Kicking this year though is the real kicker. We still had the chance to win from 32 out. JEEEZ. Are a super improbable make and miss away from 4-4. But this game wouldn't of been close with Rhule as our coach, and he wouldn't have been fired if we won the Browns game...so it's all a wash. Bengals up.

It's been a limited window since Bozeman became starter, but one of the most obvious upgrades I've maybe ever noticed on an OL before. It's seriously criminal what Rhule did with Elflein. There's so much that goes into the C spot that goes unspoken, especially with young or QBs that aren't the best with spotting defensive disguises. We really should sign him 3 years and lock in a respected OL for a rookie QB with a GREAT center to help him out.

Bozeman and Corbett are two of the better OL FA signings we've made in a really damn long time. The interior lines are critical these days and it comes to show, when we get those playing well finally, the team is finally playing better. So glad that bozo Rhule is gone.

Seriously, that's something I'm realizing this year. I know JAX hasn't given him much but they've got the guy that even with a bad team, gets QBs to look good. The running game was a monster, and his arm just doesn't seem good. His arm strength seems gumby like and he just doesn't create. Starting to look pretty iffy for me with Trevor. My favorite story right now: Tua is turning into the pre-college injury monster everyone thought he was while others were saying Trevor was the next GOAT. Different drafts but that Trevor noise was loud and for some time much like Luck. Those were the two mega-hyped ones in the internet age.

When it looks like Bryce and Stroud are the only 1st rounders at QB, we really need to be in position. The entire NFC will be needing QBs next year subtract Dallas, Philly & MIN. Seriously, the entire conference. Trading up for one will not be easy. Today was a heartbreaker but it is true.

I mean, shorties can ball. They just need the QB gene. I personally think Young has that gene, regardless of size. His passes, pocket awareness, precisions. All consistent and on point. It has now and for a while been Young & Stroud. Still should be one and hate to admit it, but today's painful loss helped.

No matter if you're wanting a tank or not, today was a whirlwind of emotions.
