I hope for his sake he goes to a quality playoff team as a backup/situation player. He deserves a ring. that said if by the small chance we drafted someone like Malik I’d be down for him to come back. That’s just if we draft a qb that is raw. last thing I heard on cam was he had meetings with Seattle and one other team. I think it might have been the browns before they traded for dw.

I honestly think getting campen was the best move of the off-season for the panthers. That was a grade A move. I think he draws in better offensive line talent. Like Bozeman for instance. My bet is he chose a 1 year deal here for that amount of money because he can learn from campen and cash in next year on a much bigger deal than what he was getting offered by other teams. Have to remember these guys are with their position coaches a ton and besides money I’m sure that is a factor in their decisions. Just a hunch.

Not sure if whitworth wanted to come here back then. Also whitworth is the exception to the rule. Still played at a high level at age 40. Super rare. Duane is nowhere close to the same as he was when he was younger. Allowing 8 sacks last year tied for 6th most. The other tackle we’re connected to is Eric fischer. Fischer was bad last year but he was also recovering from multiple surgeries (including an Achilles which is a bad injury for a big guy) and is younger. Roll of the dice which one can be better. I’m leaning towards Fischer recovering and playing better but idk. I think Duane has a higher probability of continuing to be bad as he gets older then Fischer regaining some form.

Think I’d rather land him then Brown if we had to choose between the two. He was recovering from Achilles injury last year and it showed. Maybe he’s washed after the injury idk. Might have a better chance at being better than Duane.

I’d be fine with trading for love for two fourths and drafting another qb. Just throw a bunch of poo at the wall and see if it sticks. no way you give a day 2 pick up for him tho. Don’t make the same mistake you made with Darnold.

I’d actually be ok with a move like this. I’d like to see them get that 3rd down to another 4th in this scenario but he’s got a cannon arm. I know the general consensus is he’s kind of a bust but these are the types of low cost moves for a franchise desperately needing to find a franchise qb. Maybe he figures it out with more playing time. Learning behind Rodgers doesn’t hurt. It was always the pick compensation for Darnold. Giving up a second for someone you know for a fact fuging sucks is bad.

Yeah he worked at CAT until it was shutdown in 2016 or 2017 I can’t remember. Never recovered.

Yeah he has a weird fixation on dj. Injured cam, Kyle Allen, Teddy bridgewater, Sam Darnold. the fact he put up 1200 yards in those 3 seasons with those qbs means something. Wr play is heavily dependent on qb play. We’ve had bottom of the barrel qb play here. Although dj was use to it coming from Maryland lol.

Morganton doesn’t have a lot to offer besides a brewery and a tiny record shop I used to frequent besides the one 15 min down i40 in another poo town. But I haven’t been there in 4 years. The downtown was decent from my memory. One of my best friends lived there in Morganton. He’s dead. No drugs. Didn’t smoke or drink. He worked factory jobs like me. They got shipped out. Lost his health insurance. Poverty stricken. Dead. I begged him to move to Asheville before I left and try to start a job there. Told him he could live with me for free. Wouldn’t do it. Asheville is too expensive. Luck plays a gigantic role in this. Some people turn to drugs or alcohol. So many of my HS friends are dead because these fuging politicians have shipped out jobs and the towns are literally eating themselves.

You joke but they’re picking up solid oline pieces and some really solid defensive pieces. The younger guys are getting more experience. They will probably be stupid and trade for Jimmy or draft Pickett. Being so bad for a top 5 pick is actually really fuging hard.

I love dj but if he weren’t such an introvert he’d probably be asking to leave to go to a team that has an actual qb or a team that has the ability to evaluate qbs in the draft. DJ would be considered one of the best wrs in the league and I’ve maintained with an above average qb situation he’d be a 1500 10 td type of player. He’ll be squandered here.
