Man I’ve disagreed with your takes a lot over the years. Especially about Steve Smith when he was still here but you always had level headed takes. That said it is obvious from your commentary on the forum that you are wanting and expecting Bryce to fail. You gotta own up to the fact that he’s playing his ass off right now. And I say that as a Stroud guy. He is playing well in spite of WR and RB let downs, and the refs rigging the games with horseshit calls. So what if we had some delay of games. Canales is a first year head coach who’s learning. Had you flipped a coin the last 3 weeks we would have beated KC and Tampa. I know that being a Panthers fan sucks and is basically an acceptance of emotional abuse but it is okay to be positive about this team.

We’re a good team. Our record doesn’t show it because of the injuries we’ve sustained but Bryce is playing great ball. We just need the pieces around him to turn the corner. I count the KC and Tampa games as dubs because we outplayed them all game. Same story today, we’re outplaying teams in-spite of a lack of key talent in certain areas. Dare I say it but I think we’re actually the best team in the NFC South right now. I expect a sweep of the Falcons and a W vs the Buccaneers. This team with another decent draft and FA, combined with Derrick Browns return will be very very dangerous.

I hope part of our draft philosophy going forward is stacking our mid round picks with interior lineman.

Bryce looks really damn good. The amount of tight window throws he’s making with our back up WRs out there is crazy. Hes being asked to do a lot and he’s sustaining drives somehow some way. Our QB has arrived. The problem is our defense is depleted and we need a #1 WR. And on top of that our best weapons in Coker and Sanders aren’t playing.

He cost us the game for sure but he is a rookie. Let’s not forget that theoretically we should have Dionte Johnson out there. One more round of FA and decent draft and we are competing next year.
