Matt Corral would probably look like a stud in this offense.
-
I don’t think it’s that simple though. Defenses will scheme to contain him and make him throw in the middle of the field.
-
I do think there are some positives. The offensive line looks much better and the scheme is better. Weapons are present. I think the loss proves that Bryce isn’t the guy but I actually would like to see how that the game turns out if Bryce was on his best game. Say he hits XL and Theilen we might have had a closer game. That would be a good indicator of how good the team could be with a real QB. As always the Saints get ref boost in New Orleans so that wasn’t helping us.

How surpised were you at how the team looked(Game 1 Edition)?

The scheme and the offensive line looked better. But it's clear the team just doesn't believe in Bryce. The defense especially. They saw that first pick and said, "yeah I'm not doing this poo again." Can't say I blame them after being left on the field every game last year too. The next 2-3 games (3 if he gets another) are going to be crucial for Bryce to show something or he's done. -
Derrick Brown potential season ending knee injury

We’re winning this game

Gettis could have been a dude if not for that ACL tear. Carter was serviceable for a time but he wasn’t the type of guy who would compete with Steve for touches.

Did Steve Smith influence Tepper into firing Frank Reich?

Reich was gonna take Stroud and we were probably going to be rolling. But we took Bryce and we have to for from there. -
Oh poo i didn't know we were playing

Our all time greats at every position
OneBadCat replied to Gapanthersfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I mean it wasn’t his fault he was drafted behind Williams. But I think just on his ability in his prime he was the best between the tackles runner. He had power, and the speed to break away. Almost like our version of Fred Taylor. It’s hard because imo both Williams and Stewart were top 5 talents in their day but they were taking reps away from each other on the same team. Deangelo might be a HOFer in another timeline for another squad. In his day he closest thing I’ve seen to Barry Sanders save for maybe Saquan. He just didn’t have the top end gear, at least not for long. -

I pretty much agree with this with the addition of Muhammad for WR2. I do think Jayce Horn is probably already the best CB in franchise history in terms of ability. But I understand him not earning the spot yet. -
I mean reports are he got destroyed today when the defense wasn’t fuging around. Bryce has to show something other than some dimes to DJ Chark vs Greenbay, okay ?
-
Wishing you well Mr Scot!
-
He has to play at least two series. He's proven nothing in the league.
-
Hope he’s alright we’re gonna need him
-
I think thats accurate. He’s probably topping out at 60 yards on his best throw. That can be good enough though.

Training Camp for 7/30/2024 (first padded practice!)

Both D Will and Stew were top 5 RB talents in their day. -
We're winning the fuging Superbowl.

Has anyone here ever met David Tepper in person?
OneBadCat replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
I’m not sure Bryce is even 5’10. However I do think the height aspect is slightly overrated in today’s game. Especially if you consider that linemen are a lot shorter when they are in their stance. -
Gotta celebrate while we still have it.

Not Groundbreaking Vid analysis, but I can dig it
OneBadCat replied to TD alt's topic in Carolina Panthers
Bryce deserves 1 more year I’ll grant that. He does have exceptional anticipation and potentially a good enough arm with the right foot mechanics. But part of me is dreading the first time he gets blasted again this season and the oh poo drops again like the Biden / Trump debate. With the right set up and weapons, yeah he might actually be a pretty effective player. But the moment the offense faces adversity and things don’t go as planned, I’m not convinced he can overcome. He has to prove he has some intangible to carry the team. He doesn’t have that physically. I’m hoping he proves to all of us he can do it though.
